If a hit hits you in the arm, you will take full damage of that hit, and your cyber arm will take damage as well.
So, lets say you have a cyber arm on your left arm.
A shot hits your left arm for 200pts (assume cl80 vs cl80).
You will take 200pts damage.
Your cyber arm will also degrade some.

Which is interesting really, since you have no damageable living tissue on a robotic arm.

Except the nero/bio linkend conection that it is attached too..sending stimuli and instruction to and from the arm. as it is HOTLINKED/ graphted to your skin, all impluses that interupt the signals going to or coming from the arm would cause feed back, going directly from the arm to your body/mind/neural connection, thus casueing damadge. its a biolinked feed-back loop. allowing you to gain bonuses to action, while pottentially causeing you damadge.
it is also a DEFFINET armor hole

This is a huge armor hole. I've read where attacks that specify arms and even torso can lead to large amounts of damage getting through. It's even worse with two cyber arms.

The arm itself has a condition. So, it can take damage. It won't be giving you any armor. 200pts damage to the arm will still cause your health bar to drop 200pts. I haven't seen any arms that have armor on them, but I'm betting that it only protects the arm's condition, not your health bar.
They are a trade off. With a cyber arm anyone in the galaxy can have res. Some people consider that a worthwile trade.
