I just bought the TE box set. I am an existing player, and was wondering how I go about claiming the BARC speeder.I read somewhere that my exisiting game CD's will no longer be valid. I do not want to loose my existing character.
Does anyone know how it works?

OK I can answer this one as I did exactly the same as you did.
However at the time i was formatting my machine anyway, but here is what I did.
formated machine(don't need to do I'd say uninstall current install of SWG and JTL)
Install SWG, JTL and ROTW from the TE DVD.
Start the patcher and let it download all the patches (to save time here you could copy the TRE files from your old install (if you backed it up) to your new install and then run the patcher.
Login using your EXISTING username:
When you get to the screen with the PLAY button there one of the buttons takes you to the REGISTER EXPANSION page (I think it is the second one down)
When you click the register expansion button you are asked for you key code. Enter the key code from the TE box.
You will then have to restart launchpad and login again, when you do it will then d/l the ROTW updates.
You can then click PLAY.
When you get to the logon screen your character will be bald, with boring clothes and look NOTHING like your character - DO NOT WORRY ABOUT THIS.
Select your character and click LOGON
you will be launched into the game with ALL the content and your character will look as he/she always did.
After a few minutes you will get the PLAYER REWARD box where you can claim your BARC speeder.
Like I say I did this about a week ago and we are quite happily enjoying our Barc speeder and the ROTW additions to the game. (and I did it after a format with no backup files.)
All you have to remember is that your character and ALL their belongings are saved on the SOE server, In theory your PC could blow up and you could start with a new one and as long as you use the same username/password you should get all your character details back (they will d/l to your pc when you first login)

Awesome answer and I feel a lot more confident about it now. Just was worried about it creating a new account of sorts lol.

Ididn't use the disc at all, simply entered the new reg code in the "register expansion" button on launchpad of my existing install.
And i was done.
