Not all items decay - lightweight backpacks don't, as an example.
Do all quest items decay? Since you can usually only do a quest once, that would be kind of rude.

You can get around it easily enough, especially if you have friends who play on another server or your guild spans multiple servers. Just create a char on someone elses server, have them run yournew char through the quests to get the loot they want, then have them create a char on your server and do the same for you. You can delete the char afterwards and repeat if desired. Since the "good" quest loot (proton carbine, clone armor, etc) is given by such relatively short and easy quests, and since grouping with a L80 makes you L80 now, it shouldnt be too hard to find someone to cooperate.

Although... does an ADK prevent an item from being damaged as well? Or just from decay.
Armor and weapons come to mind.

adk's keep them from any harm and last aslong as you keep the adk on it to get teh adk back you have to delete the item though

It does really suck that the quest items decay, but I guess it's fair. Most of the quest weapons are better then what Weaponsmiths can make, so if the weapons didn't decay, who would need a WS?
But the quest weapons atleast should decay slower or have higher condition...

So far it seems that the clone armour decays faster than crafted battle armour. Just something some friends and I have noted.
