ok, bought SWG way back in 2003 june... played long time the after uninstalling SWG over a year ago i decided to revisit the game.
after putting it back on & doin a ton of updates( original game package must be soooooo old now) i logged into my old avatar which i wisely put into storage on my saved stuff partition (some part of me knew id be back i guess hehe)
anways so i log in & collect my rewards & stuff.. then notice as i start to look around that im not wearing any pants....WTH i think so i fiddle about for a few mins until i remember how to open my invent, find my trusty comp pants which are so old now even a second hand charity shop wouldnt want em

.i get the message saying "i lack the cert required to wear these"

since im skint, having no resources to make some pants i think, hey ill do a mission & buy some crap off the bazaar until i figure this out.. as a TK(almost master 2 boxes off) i get my ass whooped by a couple of gungan war chiefs on naboo.
so as i frantically search for the burst run button to get my scantily clad ass outta there..i wonder whats goin on.
is there something really simple i need to do to be able to wear my armor again or am i stuffed?
any help ismuch appreciated.. my skill types are below if that is important
master armorsmith
almost master TKA
artisan
brawler
scout

a) you're not certed to wear any armor with those profs, but TKs have innate armor now thats better at master than any crafted armor
b) combat/crafter hybrids just dont work anymore. Either drop the brawler and pick up some merchant, or drop the AS and pick up another brawler line. TKM/MF/MS and TKM/MB/MP are both popular choices.
c) everything is level based right now, so I'm guessing that since you're not quite TKM you're somewhere around level 50. You can pull missions at or below your level at mission terms (mission terms in NPC cities on starter planets have capped levels btw), but try not to get aggroed by more than 1 mob at a time, thats very bad now.
d) ditch the VKs if you're using them, you do way more damage unarmed than with them now.
You should be able to scrape together enough money for some pants that way

thx for quick response, yea i noticed im currently lvl44. and do have vk's equipped.
i see a bit of template/gameplay type adjusting is needed.
