yes, very normal. i stumbled upon him a couple nights ago and he almost blasted me like a vynock on the hood of the 'Falcon. a guildmate (rifleman) and i (tkm/md) took him down in about 3 minutes. i had to tank him while my guildy attacked the mind pool.

Am tkm/md too .... but can't keep myself alive if he hits me that hard 
....
Went back a second time ... managed to stay alive for a while, but he kept hitting my mind pretty hard .... and then BANG .... two shots of each 2500 in a row .... back to cloning
I was amazed by the damage output, even with my armor and psg ... ofcourse i'm Trando, and he might have found one of my many holes (armor that is) ....

A couple of weeks ago I logged on right after a server reset and said to myself: "Self, I've never seen Lord Nyax without the campers. Maybe I should go check it out."
Lo and Behold: no campers! Woot! Strolled down to the final chamber, killing the lesser npc's on the way.
And there was the Lord Nyax himself. And the fight began.
I have medic 2040, and the stim-d's came in real handy. Also, I'm Zabrak, and equilibrium saved the day.Force of will came in real handy, too. TKM is my only 'real' combat prof (I'm also MCH, but that grants no defensive or offensive bonuses), so I'm obviously no uber l33t stacker.
After about 5 mins (not sure how long really), after running out of stims, both of our health bars barely with a sliver of red, I finally killed Lord Nyax. Man, that guy can hit hard. Keeping every state I could on him definitely helped, and I actually knocked him down a couple of times.
I was fully buffed, and wearing a decent set of comp, and a few times he hit me for about 3/4 of my health bar. I was fortunate in being able to keep up in healing.
After all that I looted a light lightning cannon off him. Nothing special. *sigh*

was 2h 30m approx before CU, i wouldnt be surprised if they hadnt changed that.

Personaly i dont see the need to camp nyax anymore since he dose not drop high end attachments anymore. the highest ive seen anyone get off him as of late is a +7 this is due partly to his combat level is only level 32 so his attachment number cap is verry low compared to before.
