Thread: What Was..... ?
Yeah... like the holograms "used" to do.... how 'bout turning the glow back on for the holograms???

Two items, both really cool:
Mystical Glowing Orb - because it actually glows and throws light into the surrounding area.
Bacta Tank - Village Ph 4 medical quest reward, although... I wish it bubbled like the ones that are in the game elsewhere. Would be nice if it gave some type of heal/enhance bonus also (not that anyone gets wounds anymore).

Black Sun Ace Pilot Helmet. Period.
Probably NS bicep armor second, though I didn't loot it because I joined the game after it was removed. Paid through the nose for one though!
Would like to consider the Chiss Poacker backpack....but that quest is bugged for me....with no apparent ETA on a fix....four months after release....

BS Ace pilot helmet ftw!!!
/salute
Anything that glows is cool! The orb and the holograms...
I love rugs and art/posters. I also get very happy making looted schematics. Especially the rare 'kitchen' kind. The recyclers are fun to search for all parts also.

Yes! Yes! Schematics! More schematics!! This is a win for everyone -- somebody gets a nice piece of loot, crafters get something cool to do, and if the looter doesn't want the schematic, it's likely to be something that someone will want (unlike, say, the CDEF weapons that spawn like a dark plague).
My collecting days have wained quite a bit since the CU. It was part of the game, maybe the last thing, that held my interest for any extended period of time.
What I have is displayed in my home, have a little museum room even with little display stands for various items.
Some of my fave things are:
-Mystical glowing orb from valarian quest
-Death Star Fragment random loot from Yavin.
-Eye of Mesra. Nice little homage to the old magic 8-ball from childhood (remeber when ppl thought it was part of unlocking Jedi?
)
-Jetpack!!!! Where as everyone has an AV-21 the Jetpack is still an object of envy after a year of being in-game
-Looted BH armor
-The Command console's ( vet reward, not rreally a loooted item)
The thing I think is the coolest is the one thing Ive allways wanted but never gotten.....
Nightsister Bracer!!!!!!!!
Hmmm... Good question.
I believe the holograms are a favorite. And the Wookiee Life Day orb.

Not so useful or decorative are snouts, ears and legs from various creatures. If they could be used as crafting components, it would be fine but otherwise-ugh.
I put all the kashyyyk animal parts and other deco items in a small house to make a hunting lodge theme. also added my krayt skull and hunting trophys. even dropped a tent, wooden folding chair, plants and torchs in the back room to create a campsite look.
Wanting to find time and add some kerritamba skulls to wood pikes in the camp room to go with that voodoo setup with the red candles and voodoo doll.

Is the Krayt Skull loot? or a quest reward?
Honestly, this is a very tough question.Any of the decent loot is weapon or armor related or a skill attachmentit seems. Although, there is some cool loot that was introduced with JTL, loot related to ships. It was cool because it wasn't so totally worthless as 98% of the loot in this game is (has anyone looted a CDEF pistol recently and wondered "why do they keep this stuff in the game???"). Do the original Holocrons count? If so, they were definitely the coolest. Why, because they looked pretty cool, were somewhat difficult to get, and had a real purpose. I can remember looting a holocron off a Dark Trooper in the first week that they were available. Totally cool until I used it, and it said to master Chef, lol!! I eventually did do chef and actually liked it (it generated cash flow).
The new BH loot scheme is pretty decent, it actually has me doing the bounties to see what loot I will get!! So, definitely a step in the right direction. Of course, the really cool loot is weapon or armor related again.
But a little more honestly, perhaps we shouldn't bring focus to one of the weaker aspects of SWG, which is the loot. The game still gives attachments for skills that no longer or never existed in the live game (I am not sure I ever saw one with a "plus", or even worse a "negative", to mining though :smileywink
, treasure maps and locked containers (which are generally a slap in the face), and a multitude of other worthless, totally uncool junk. The whole loot scheme needs a complete and total revamp as far as I can tell.
I have played virtually from the beginning (yes, I have done corpse runs) and will play much longer, I am sure. Hopefully, I will get to experience the vehicle equivalent for looting that vehicles were to running everywhere, lol!!
Ok, then.....
My favorite would be Peko Peko feathers. Even if they don't make an armor suit look like it is described to do, they look awesome ![]()

Not counting weapons, attachments, or anything that modifies weapons or armor(ie pearls etc..) what was your favorite piece of loot?
Why did you find it so cool?
My favorite piece of non-combat loot is definitely my Krayt Skull
I like it because the Huff Darklighter quest to get the skull is one of my favorite quests and the reward is most excellent!
I only wish I could finish it - been stuck on it since Nov/Dec of 2003 and everytime I write a ticket it gets closed as a bug. Great customer service!
Better than, the anwser. If you open a ticket on this again, your account will be banned that I have heard about on the lowca server.
