mysteriuous glowing orb. it glowes, not many people have it and its not available in game ANYmore. been that way since like publish 8 or 9 i think
It's still available. I'm a relatively new player (since Memorial Day 2005) and I got one the other day. Don't remember what I did to get it, but it's lighting up my house right now, and yes, it is cool. I have it sitting "inside" or "underneath" a locked container so that it appears that the container lights up the front room.

Not counting weapons, attachments, or anything that modifies weapons or armor(ie pearls etc..) what was your favorite piece of loot?
Why did you find it so cool?
My favorite piece of non-combat loot is definitely my Krayt Skull ![]()
I like it because the Huff Darklighter quest to get the skull is one of my favorite quests and the reward is most excellent!

You can't loot that

yeah, that's not really loot.
THat's a quest reward.
quest rewards count as loot.
Then I will say that the best quest/reward/woot!/fun ratio in game right now is the Village Phase 3 "Capture the Commader" mission. Receiving the branch unlock, one of the best crystals in game (Sunrider's Destiny) and the mind buff crystal is the most excitement I've had Pre-CU and Post-CU.
I know crystals don't count but this small slice of SWG is what this game should be like. Great rewards, involving and intricate missions, and DANGER/RISK (those thugs were uber pre-CU).

My favorite loot would be a toss up between my chiss backpack, the hyper rifle, a rebel insignia holo-gram, the kalranoos carbine, or the junti mace. Problem is though, is the horrible condition of Bria's database has caused my chiss backpack (along with the above items and many other quest rewards to dissapear. Ticket # 4097571 has been open for this since Pub 23 and the only response I've received so far is 'we probably can't help you, sorry'.
That sucks...
The Huff quests are certainly most excellent, TH. One of the best-written quests (a bit of a cross-planet spy-game), and the fact that you don't neccisarily need to turn over the gun to Huff is nice. The skull and the gun are both cool pieces or ornamentation.
And the loot looks great in my house.
I tend to like memorable loot, so I will say that I love my droid's head that I had made. That's another example of a great quest. Very fun (won't give away too much info) and a cool story line. Quests that are mysterious and give unique (not neccisarily powerful) loot are always the best in my opinion.
I hope whoever did the writing for the Darklighter quests and the droid heads quests is still with you, those were laid out very well. Also, the quests waaaaay back in the day (The Cries of Alderaan story-arc) were very well written. The idea that you could have an impact on the galaxy and that you could choose how to do the quest, made it a very compelling story. I actually had to sit and think whether one of my toons on TC (a role-playing pacifist) should do the quests for the Rebellion because he did support the rebels, or whether the idea of helping make Rebel troops shoot better (and therefore kill more) went along with the morals of my character.
Phat lewt (annoying spelling not required) is all well and good, but the most important part of the loot on display is whether or not it's memorable. I have lots of stuff on display at my house, including most of the loot you can get from cretures on Kashyyyk. But all that loot, (which does look good) isn't as cool as the silly droid head sitting on the floor, because I remember doing the quest, not simply looting it off random NPCs and critters.

One time I got bored and decided to fish in game... despite its insanely stupid interface. Well I somehow looted an item that for lack of better description was a majic 8 ball. It even game out random 8ball responses. Ive never looted a 2nd one.
That's the eye of mesra. I'm a bit of a role-player (and notoriously bad at making decisions in-game and in real life) so anytime I'm asked to make a decision, I use my eye of mesra to make my mind up for me. great loot. sadly, i haven't seen one drop in a while.
be carefull with these-- you can accidentaly sell them to a junk dealer for a crappy price if you're not careful. They also sell for quite a bit on the trade forums, I think. Though I wouldn't sell mine even for a premium pearl.

That quest has a lot of nice items to it. I use the corsec badge w/ my smuggler to role-play being in area's I shouldn't be such as imperial faction player cities etc. Sometimes the newbies think I really AM part of corsec .. then start asking if I can unban them from certain cities etc.
