I LOVE the jukeboxes!!!!! And my very first character is a musician.
Other than the Mos Eisley cantina song, they don't play anything the musicians do -- and the soundtrack version is VERY different from the "live musician" version unless you have just the right band with just the right instruments. You have to actively listen to musicians to hear them while the jukeboxes can entertain everybody within range.
How about if this was an item that only musicians can craft? And maybe the songs themselves would decay and need to be re-recorded by musicians, the way Image Designers need to periodically recharge holoemotes?

I love this item and think it should be available as a permanent item!!!!
I don't mind questing for it or searching for rare components to be assembled by a crafter because this item is just awesome and should be obtainable as a non-rented item!

I love this item! In my opinion it's one of the best items added to the game since launch!

I can see both sides.
I love the juke box, and hearing the Star Wars soundtracks really adds to the feeling of the game and my personal mood. It truly is one of the best things they have added. Music can be used to create certain moods that others will pick up on when they hear it.
However being a musician in real life , I have always wanted to see the expression of player created entertainment (that you can choose to listen to or not). Perhaps something where players can write there own lyrics. A scrolling kareoke type lettering system could help players follow along at the pace the musician intended and they might be able to choose from different samples of prerecorded music.Basically a more enhanced flourish system with a time and pause editor. Something simple because this could be very taxing.
These things are one of the best additions to the game for sure.
Another event promoter item I like is the shuttle beacon. I musta did that for about an hour yesterday , launching it in different directions.

I put one in my shop and started playing 'corellian soothing' and it gave the feeling of a mall instantly!
Please make the jukebox stay

I think giving IDers the option to make wigs to sell would be a great addition for the IDers!
Lots of times we want to change our hair and there is no IDs around. We could have a wig collection to match all our outfgits and moods. Just a thought ?
