I have kept my original Maroj Melon (now sitting on a table in my house), my first suit of composite armour (now with each piece fully decayed), and one piece of wargear from each of the professions I have mastered (which have been crafted with the "Master ______" title on them.) All for memories of starting out. I also have a wound stimpack sitting in my house to remind me of happier (Pre-CU) days. I wish I could put a painting of the old interface in my house for the same reason...
And in terms of loot, I also have my first Sith Holocron, my old piece of art from 2003, a set of Pre-CU stormtrooper armour and a Tusken suit from back when the helmets weren't dropping (I would periodically get offered ridiculous sums of money for it). Also, for memories of quests and hunts, I have my first Gorax bone shard, a mystical glowing orb, a corsec badge and a Sith Altar. I also have a set of Marauder Armour, a Deadeye Decoder,
I suppose it's also worth mentioning that what I wear is now getting very old. On my first day of playing in Late August 2003, I hit the bazaar after running some missions. Lo and behold, what do I findbeing soldin Tyrena, my starting city, but a Dark Jedi Medallion!! It's looking pretty expensive at a whopping 3000 credits, but I empty my life savings and buy it. I have never taken it off since. Consider it a good luck charm. The robe I wear is the original Robe of Honour that I got from Kaja Or'Zee for completing one of the Emperor's Retreat missions way back in the day.

if you're character is as old as you said it was than that should be a "melon" not a maroj melon.
