Thread: Is anyone else tired of macro-lords selling all the good loot?

Tavtrip do you not realize they are making otehr peoples work worthless?
One of my favourite things to do is to loot items, macro barons ruin my combat profession. Which makes me stuck with missions.
Loot is a part of combat and they are ruining it.
How would a crafter feel if there was some sort of afk way that made it around 10 times easier to get resources?.. Better than the heavies.
A crafter would freak out. His resources would be worth nothing at all.
And the items he sold would be worth some because he can make them, but combat ppl cant make something. They just get an easier way to loot some items. So we have it tougher. And macro barons totally ruins it man...
Look at how hard adhesives are to get. I have only gotten 6 throughout 5 months.
But they are now 150k. THats the work of macro barons.
And u cant possible say that is fair.

If you are killing meatlumps or other things that the afks kill for loot it isn't anywhere near the best way to make money. What they do is make the loot that requires hours of menial thoughtless tasks worth less. Not the challenging things like nyax or krayts.

AFK people do hurt the game, but I know a few people who just put that AFK tag up so people are less likely to send them a tell, or they feel they don't have to respond to tells. As for hunting spawn points, I spent 4 days running around looking for Valarian Swooper Leader random spawns, and after finding only a place where three would spawn in the exact same spot every time you killed all three and looted them, I said "Forget Random Spawns" and spent the full 3 hours of my buff killing them for the loot. I wasn't afk at any point, I was at the computer, doing the special attacks myself, and chatting in guild chat. Nothing wrong with what I did in my opinion, but it would have been wrong if I had put on a macro, and walked away from the computer.

There are so many afk-macro-lords @ Geo Cave, I cannot get past the lag (dial up)...
