I wanted something new to do so I thought I'd have a wack at killing them, after a nice T21, like they'll ever drop *laughs* 
I've been killing them for the past two to three days quite a bit lately and I've managed to loot two very nice attachments!, Defence .Vs Knockdown +25 and Defence .Vs Dizzy +25.

Some times i'm lucky with elders, some times i'm not - I have good and bad days, i seriously believe your character has "good days" and bad days. Killing them isn't the problem, it's find them that is 
I can kill an elder in about 60 seconds, although I don't do that drag bug/sploitz.

In my game time i've killed about 200 or so elders. Ive looted about 30 premiums, a belt with defense vs dizzy +21,
some dot pikes, a Steady aim bonus +25 CA and a Thrown weapon accuracy +25 AA (lol). Also lots of unmodded clothing and weapons, heavy duty leather and clasps...

exceptional weapons 
i've seen a guy on my server beat the living crap out a elder in under 2 minutes with a 3k max damage hammer . with a 2 k max damage t-21 it would be even quicker because of the ap-3 ( and every server seems to have a few 2k damage looted t-21 's ) .

For those that where wondering the FS luck line does help, I myself dont have it but a friend of mine does and he was looting uber lances even before the publish.

Correct, I run 2 accounts on 2 pcs next to each other. One with a 2.2k T21 and the other with a 1.2k PH

Killing elders that fast isn't abnormal. Speedcapped rifleman with a huge damage T21 (doesn't need to be exceptional or krayt -- just a maxed damage slice and a powerup will suffice), plus a tank, plus a Jedi... elders drop like nothing. Jedi can stick states on elders that other people can't, so you can actually get them to flop (dizzy+KD) and POUR damage on them with sabers and high-end T21s. Swordsmen with good acklay hammers are also very valuable out there.
I'm sure Zina has seen our elder demo. team. We've seen his on numerous occasions.
And yes, you can usually pull 8-10 elders out of a static spawn IF you only pull the elder. Hint: use a rifleman. Their 'concealment chance' mod allows them to pull aggro mobs from aggro groups without pulling the whole camp.

Oh dummy me! How could have I forgotten to pull out my multi-million credit legendary hammer with 3k-5k damage. Hehe, yeah I suppose with one of those 1 or 2 per server you can kill them that fast. But for the other 1000s of us that don't have one of the 2 best weapons on the server, 60 seconds or 2.5 minutes to kill an elder is pretty much impossible wihtout a full group. Sure with a group that includes Jedi that would be extremely easy. But these people make it sound like its easy to do with just normal weapons and solo.

takes me 45 minutes -1 hour to solo an elder using my 324 max dmg nsel cna cut tht in half with my swordsman hunting buddy swinging his ph

Takes me 8min to solo an elder with 1050 PH pup'd. I go through about 3 melee pup's during the fight.
