I did corsair missions last night and was averaging a crystal every other mission. Out of 8 crysals I got , only one was a color.

They're good quality also, the best you can get.. That seems to be about my luck, as well as a few recyler parts and schematics.. but I'm still hunting the elusive agitator motor schematic..

I wander around dath sometimes and kill NS and can ge ta decent amount of crystals in one day.. I have evenlooted a quality crystal a few weeks back

if i were you i would go hunt juvi Krayts on Tat. Its not hard for a double master profession to solo a LVL 78 krayt. And on the average a good pearl tunes better then a quality crystal.

Ive tuned lots of pearls and crystals and noticed no difference in the average for tuning in either of them.. So I dont agree with your statement
