if you see an elder with a little black stick, run. run as fast as you can away and run some more. with stun armor you will be instantly incapped and even with stun armor and PSG its only a matter of seconds before you are in the cloner

not true, ive tanked plenty of elders with stun batons, some w/o stun armor, and ive never used a psg, the thing is, make sure you can heal and always intimidate/warcry.

Elders: They drop one grade and one grade only, and that is Premium




Sorry to burst your bubble, but no...They might also drop Quality.


Still a good post...but a Pikeman can take down a elder...takes a lot of patience and a killer NSEL...but it can be done.

Very nice guide, and correct in just about every fact. I don't have any complaints about the formatting either, though it's possible that it has been edited since posting.


What is a NSEL? I"m master pike and I ALWAYS have to run from elders/SMC guardians/SMC arch witches since they are 100% resits to everything that pike has to offer.

Also, buffs and armor are not 100% required for NS hunting, though they are highly recommended. I have CL69 and 70 pets. With medic 2/0/4/0 and some decent stims and pet stims, I've found that unbuffed (though with either an ENT mind buff or Vasarian), I can kill NSs up to Spell weavers approximately 4 times out of 5 without deaths. This is HIGHLY risky though, since single hit specials can take you out if landed (I have 1250 health and action. It's common to see them hit for 2k or better).

Great guide. I'd really like to see how to kill elders with pike though.

Unfortunately, you have to either be a rilfeman, etc. to loot it, or have the cash to buy one. LOL
