Sabbacc has already been made by the Rp'ers, here's TinkerGirl's guide to it:

Hello fellow roleplayers.

I've posted several times (in different forums) about how I worked out how to make and play what I called Mini-Sabaac. In reality, it's closer to Pazakk from a 'certain other SW game'. I know that we on this forum love our extra content and mini games, so I'm here again hoping that I can help someone here by posting this.

How to play!

If you know Pazakk, you're sorted. If you know 21 (pontoon) the card game, you're almost there.

Game requires 3 players - two opponents and a dealer. All must be grouped and the two opponents must have a deck of mini-sabacc/pazakk cards (more on this later). The dealer will need one twelve sided dice (artisan crafted).

The aim is to end your turn closer to 21 without going over (bust).

Both players roll their dice to see who goes first - highest starts.

Players 1 and 2 open a trade window - this is the game area.

Players in turn ask the dealer to roll for their draw. Theyadd this in the 'credits' box of the trade window. They may play one card a turn - these cards modify their score by anything from -4 to +4 depending on the value of the card.

Example of play.

Turn 1 - Alice asks for a roll, Dealer rolls an 7. Alice writes that in the credits box and passes the turn.

Turn 2- Joe asks for a roll, Dealer rolls a 2. Joe writes it up and passes.

Turn 3 - Alice says 'Hit me!' and the Dealer comes up with a 12. Alice adds this to her 7 and gets 19. She thinks this is rather close to 21 already and doesn't want to risk another roll. Looking at her four cards, she sees she has a +1 card. She plays that card (into the trade window) and changes her total to 20. She holds - and will take no further turns. It's all up to Joe now.

Turn 4 - Joe knows he must beat 20, and asks for a roll. Dealer rolls 6. That gives Joe 8. No good, he passes.

Turn 5 - Joe's go again (Alice held) and Dealer rolls him a 10. Joe adds that and gets 18. Close, but not close enough. Checking his cards, he sees he has a +3 card. Gleefully he plays it, bringing him up to 21 - beating Alice!

Joe does the *happy dance* and thumbs his nose at Alice for a good five minutes until Alice thrashes him in the next game

How to make!

Each deck consists of a backpack (to keep it together), a d12, and four crafted armour segments, named by the artisan something random between -4 and +4 (ignore 0). Normally, I put a unique identifier after each card to help prevent cheats. For example,

*+3* 0003 Mini-Sabacc Card = Is a +3 card from the 0003 deck of cards. There are 4 cards in each deck.

This is to help avoid people running around with 10 cards in their inventory (more than just an ace up their sleeve). A trusted artisan should be on their honour to make only four cards per deck, and any other cards without that creator name should be viewed with great suspicion.

I've just started playing this on Kettemoor - and DANG it's fun. Once you can get people to understand how to play (which usually takes one game) they enjoy it loads. So any Kettemoorians who'd like a game, gimmie a shout. Anyone wanting to run this on other servers - good luck and have fun.

If I can get off my backside, I'll be running card nights - dingy dens with spice using, scantily clad slavesand high risk games of Pazakk. Maybe I'll win your speeder off you

I would love to see Sabacc in the game. You could have high risk games where you bet things like ships or rare loot. Smugglers should also have some tricks since most smugglers where expert gamblers. Also have the ability to cheat using skiffers (cards that change value when taped) but have a chance of getting caught, booted from the game and then maybe a fight or fine or something.
