How about this,
One item can be copied ONCE, not twice, only once. And the copied item cannot be copied again either.

You do understand that this copying idea for general items (unlike the art, non-functional idea that empress re-proposed later), is basically a game mechanic for duping objects.

I hope the devs aren't stupid enough to impliment one of the lamest most game breaking ideas ever, though I wouldnt put it past them.
Crafters would go mental at the thought, and it would unbalance combat considerably imagine if a legendary weapon was found, an imp or rebel guild held it, so they make a few copies of it. half the guild end up with the same uber weapon and thier opponent guild is then toast in PvP.
On a nother not some of the more rare and harder to obtain decorative loot that is very expensive would become worthless.

Don't like this Idea Much...
Unless the types of items were limited to non-Combat.
Art or Decor would be fine, But Uber Weps & Armor should be earned, either by collecting them your self, or Grinding the cash to buy them.
One thing I'd like to See a a Possible Vet reward is a new Character slot...!!!
Something for those Folks who don't have the time to GrindFS, because of Real Life committments.
Although this new char should not be the FS Slot, it should be a Full Character to do what ever you like with.
Now this would be Super Cool!!!

I'd buy those looted credit disks from space and get them so I have million of credits worth.. Then use my copier on that to multiply my credits.

Have the Copier & the Deed for a new character & place the New character deed in the Copier....
