I've been seeing tons of auctions selling various quality crystals, but my questions are how can you tell the quality of the crystals and what are the different levels, from worst to best. Can a non jedi see what quality they are?

Just 3 simple questions about crystals:
1.- Is there any crystal classification based on its color?
2.- What's the difference between "premium crystals" and "crystals"?
3.- How can I know if my crystals are ubber, just good or crap?

There are color crystals and damage (white) crystals. The white crystals generally sell for more. The white ones range from poor, fair, premium, exceptional or something like that I don't remember all the classes. A Jedi must inspect the crystal to determine the class. The color crystals determine the color of the light saber and the condition of the crystal becomes the actual condition of the weapon. This is my crude understanding of crystals. You have to talk to a Jedi to fill in the blanks.

Don't worry yourself with Crystals...just give them to me....
Actually, what I advise you to do is drop all of your clear crystals on the floor of one of your public houses. Then, find a Jedi who is not busy making up negative xp, grinding 10 xp per kill or running from a BH, and ask them to check the crystals for type. They can then tell you "Hey, this clear crystal here that is 880/880 condition? It is a "fair". It's easy!

Dont forget to get a second oppinion from another Jedi. Some people might try to cheat you

Hello jedis. I have been playing swg for about a year so far and I have been able to collect about 70 crystals. There are some questions I would like to ask about then. First what is a premium crystal? Second dose color matter? third could someone give me a ranking system for crystals condition like 800-950 is ok and 951-1000 is real good and 1001-1300 isgod like or something like this. I am thanking about selling some of them off and this information would help a lot.

quality is not based on the condition of the crystal, find a jedi to tell you the quality of them
BTW color just change the kind of elemental damage the LS will do in addition to the base energy damage

Only to a jedi is given the ability to inspect the crystal and say the quality. This quality has nothing to do with condition that is what you can see on it.
Also quality only concerns white crystals as colored one are not for damage
