I see, np.

Looking for new views on the Topic at hand since we beat the other to death.

Even if the system worked so that the group could outdamage a single player my system still applies as an improvement to that. A single player contributing to a certain % of damage deserves a chance at the loot.

Ok this used to be simple, till they changed it. I started a loot technique on my server that alot of people and guilds started using. It used to be when you were in a group and something was looted, it would show up on the screen for everyone to see. Well i had crates of 100 sided dice made. i gave one to each person in my guild. when something was looted in group, we would all roll the dice and who ever got the highest number would win it. As long as you are in group, everyone can see what numbersthe others roll. It worked great forvere, no one ever complained and it was perfect, then SOE decided to take away the thing that showed everyone what what looted. So there came the lootstealsagain.. inmy opinion, bring back the ability to show everyone what was looted and we will have no problems.

Me and a DJK, ALONE. Doing ancients. I looted the scales :/, which is irrelevant, but I looted, and no way did I OD him.

It's a well known fact loot rights go to the GROUP that does the most damage. A swordsman with a good powerhammer can out do a small group if the group all decide to target one pool while the swordsman uses /2handhit3 to hit random pools. Same can be said for a rifleman.

Kill Steeling can be easily removed from game. Person/group who attacks first gets loot rights unless that person/group dies or aggro is lost. Only the targeted creature/npc would count and area attacks would not gain loot rights on all creatures hit. Peolpe would not bother with an already in combat creature/npc, so if you bite off more that you can chew you will die.

As for who loots or keeps loot in a group, well that should be decided before you go and dont group with people you dont know/trust.

Ok your little fantasy about whoever attacks first should get the loot is crap. Let me tell you why...Currently a TKM/Doc can probably survive though also anything, now let's say this TKM decides to take on a krayt ancient. Well of group of commandos, JK's and TKM rolls in to kill the ancient that this TKM probaly has been on for like 20 min barly ever scatching it's belly. The group quickly kills the krayt becuase it was better suited to take down the krayt, who should get the loot?

Answer is the group, the key to looting is don't fight it unless you can kill it quickly, other wise people who specialize at killing a certain creature wouldn't be able to loot half the time because a TKM/Doc get there first and will take an hour or more to kill a thing that the specialized perso could easily take out in 10 min or less. AKA. The players that take the time and money to actully prep to first the said creature are rewarded for the effort they spent on prep.

Looting is fine as it is, leave it be. Make the game better by adding more content and stuff.

My solution is really simple. Everyone grouped gets the loot on a corpse. Not just 1 toon. Devalue loot entirely. This is a crafter based game. Until they make it a crafter based game this incredible fascination we have with loot will continue and greed will rear its ugly head. If your grouped shot something once upon death everyone gets the item. Anyone spawn camping wouldn't care if you helped. You would get to have fun. Groups would get bigger and more enjoyable.

Instead they like to pit players against players for what?So they can have a "valuable" loot system. Its kind of silly and rewards only those who pratice the most socially destructive behavior.

Why do we have looting rights discussions or loot problems at all? Seems silly.
