it was my first elders too, hence the shock. and perhaps the last as you get better loot of the lower levels. i can't do much with crystals anyhow.

You have to kill 1000's of elders for it to pay off as well as you hope, it could be number 10 that you kill it could be number 459, it's all luck. I've killed elders almost everyday for a long long time, and have never found an exceptional item. This doesn't bother me because I know they have a chance to drop (not sure about since recent patches) and killing them is just part of the thrill to me. Some mornings I can go through 20-30 elders if the spawns are good, and have had experiences where it took 10+ kills just for a crystal, you get used to it over time.
I'll still be hunting elders even though I haven't found anything good off them in over a couple months, crystals are ok but I kill them in hopes for SEAs and weapons. I just don't keep my hopes up of finding them, and eventually I'll find something that will make my jaw drop, making itall worth the time and effort.

Got lots of crystals and LVAs today. No CA/AAs though, and killed about 20.

Ive looted 2 exceptional things of elders.
The first was exceptional clasps.
Second was a Pistol that was exceptional in the HAM costs, normal everything else and HAM costs of like 2/3/2

I've done 19 in the last two days... nothing other then credits and cargo pockets. What's really bad is the Axkva Min kill this morning and she looted for base Shards.
