Thread: Petrified Avian Egg
however if you are looking to sell i will buy it form yah.. jsut send Squran a tell in game....
Not absolutely sure what the deal is with that egg, but I have a red crystal that is used for dual light saber construction according to it's description, and when I compare that crystal to the egg, it is exactly the same graphical image.
Come to your own conclusions from that I spose, but if you can slice it, I'm going to bet it's either the same or something very similar. I pulled the red crystal for the light sabre construction of a meatlump that jumped me.
Is this useful in making a lightsaber? It looks exactly like a crystal, and was looted a from a forasaken force drifter.
only way to tell is to give it to a jedi player so he can look at the stats if any. same with force crystals, pearls, and twin force crystals.
which also leads me to wonder if the skill tapes that have no item info in them are also for jedi only to see.
I'd be really interested to test that theory out since i have found some but destroyed them.
Come to the Dark Order PA hall on Sunrunner, due west of Bestine, Tatooine at -2140, -3925 as your Jedi, at any time you feel safest and comfortable.
Obviously, wear something inconspicuous and turn off your tag, and don't contact anyone in my guild if you wish to stay hidden.
I currently have on display 3 krayt pearls, a petrified avian egg, a twin-force yellow saber crystal, and "A Rare Artifact" in front of the krayt dragon skull to the right as you come in the door.
I would be interested to know the statistics you can see on them as a Jedi, and what exactly they do. I know the pearls and crystal should show you stats regarding their use in a saber, things a normal player cannot see. I'm also curious if the "A Rare Artifact" or petrified avian egg have any use to a Jedi. Since they were rare drops from FS NPCs, I assume they do SOMETHING, especially because the avian egg has a condition rating 100/100 that I can see but no other stats.
Please PM me or post the this info they say here, or in-game e-mail to Ko-a from Mraughh. I don't want to know your new Jedi's name in-game any more than you want to reveal it. I already had the honor of killing you once, after all... hah hah!
I looted 2 Petrified Avian Eggs. I noticed the junk vendor will give you like 10 credits (I checked after looting first one) for them, but I think they are for something else.
Shortly after I looted my 2nd Avian Egg (both in inventory)... they both vanished without a trace. Did I somehow assimilate the power of the Eggs without knowing it? Not sure.
I sent a CSR ticket and got a response that whatever items that could be replaced were. So this leaves me wondering as to their mystery. I have since looted another one and it did not disappear.
Tofeity
Petrified Avian Eggs may look like the force amplification crystals, but I'd be terribly surprised if they had any use otherwise. I have three of them currently. You can get them in the same way you get the tree painting or the AT-ST helmet or the bantha doll. Jabba's cook, Porcellus, has you run a mission to bring back some Kaadu meat. The item that appears in your inventory for delivery to him is the aforementioned Petrified Avian Egg.
It's just a pretty bauble.
The petrified avian egg that you get for the Jabba's mission and the ones you loot off of the force sensitive NPCs on Dantooine did not (at least for me) have the same graphics and description. The Petrified Avian Egg for Jabba actually looked like a stone egg, the one from the mystics looks like a lightsaber crystal and has a condition rating (100/100) as well as a description that states something to the effect of "it is a mystery that would take many lifetimes to figure out".
Admittedly, I did the Jabba's Palace missions a LONG time ago before force crystals were in the game yet, but unless they changed the graphics with more recent publishes, they are not the same type of item even though they have the same name. They were most definitely different for me.
Sharc and I tested the avian egg today. It looks exactly the same, nothing speical that I could tell.
