Exactly. The have no purpose other then they where part of the rewards from Jabba's Theme park if I remember right. Since they are no longer handed out as mission rewards, a large number of people have jacked the price and claimed they where removed from the game. On Bria, the Eye's and the Palm Frond have had the same problem.
Hell, I've seen a merchant advertising to be in posession of the "no longer available" Loudspeakers and was offering them for the low, low price of 100k each. 10 crimila missions later and I had 4 in my inventory...

Actually I just looted Eyes of Mesra a few days ago off of a commoner in the Kimo town.
