add a anti decay kit then you won't have any problems with the item

Notices this first with vehicles going down very fast, but thought I just had some with bad stats, but it turned out even the high end ones damage fast. Then it was the shield generators, those really go fast with the change in how damage works. Armor, well I only use the RECON and go through it fairly quickly. CU was a great idea and has added a lot to the game. LOL

ADK's FTW!!! 7 for the armor (fully mod'ed) 1 for your gun (double capped, damage/sac)

Rate of decay for practically all items is just fine.
Except Armor. With a 2-3 hour play session with brand new armor, you can count on losing 1/4 of your condition if the things you face are a fair challenge. This is made worse by the costly FP Bio-Linking of Factional Armor, which by itself is VERY expensive... in the millions over in Ahazi. Scout Trooper goes for 6 million. Stormtrooper about 4-5 million.

Isn't the increased armor decay caused by the lowered resistances compared to pre-cu? Before we had 80-90% resists on certain damage types.. now we are lucky to hit the high 60s (though im not entirely accurate one what exactly the new resists are) Now, correct me if im wrong, but because armor decay is based upon how much damage the armor takes , we are seeing increased decay because more damage is passing through to the armor itself.

The cap for any kind of resist now is 60%.
The armor decay rate is insane. It makes me wish I was TKM for the innate armor... I hate, hate, hate, hate, having to go out and buy a new suit just because I PvPed heavily for a week.

Wow why did I not think of just using an ADK.. Ohh yea that’s right because that’s not the solution it’s a work around. The point of the discussion was has decay gotten worse or even out of control. Let me guess in a discussion about the weather out side your input is “so just go in side".
well thats kinda the problem soe gave us antidecay kits which they have admited wasnt a good idea as now you only ever need one capped weapon etc so i think rather than a bug they actually increased decay rate to counter the damage adk's are doing to crafter economy
as for the guy with ship parts decaying i havent noticed it from dyeing and repairing but from using droid commands i deffinatly get decay

I lost 36k condition on chestplate in 2 hours other night fighting krayts. Luckily I repaired both pieces of armor with serious decay with minor blemishes. I purcchased the kin layered battle armor only 1 hour before going to hunt the krayts. Looks like the devs are forcing us to buy adk's or get our armor sliced with decay reduction slices(which do help).

hmm well i used to solo krayt pree cu as rifles tkm medic and if tanking instead of using concealshot i would get through 1 and a half 80 percent kin composite chest plates per giant krayt [only had intimidate 1] so depending on your skills it sounds like it got better one thing you need to remember is unless your a full melee template you realy shouldent be tanking [or soloing] anything over your level and if you are full melee temp then its likley your tkm and dont need armour
sure most ranged templates tank high lvl but its not how the devs intend us to play in the new group based swg and therefore you have to expect to pay the price of decay

i agree, theitem decay rate has increased by at least 50% . i bought a repubic blaster less than 2 days ago. i spent most of the past2 days camping the aakaun cave and my pistol has already reached 1/4 condition and needed to be repaired. before the combat upgrade i could go well over a week of constant grinding and still not come close to 1/2 condition on any weapon. i guess since over 50% of the population now has a light saber that doesn't decay, everyone else get screwed over.
i also bought a full suit ofrecon armor less than 3 days ago. i looked at the condition 2 days later and it wasunder 1/2 and i haven't killed anything over lvl 50 since i bought it. i had to destroy half of it because it was trash by the time i descided to look at the condition.
This is some serious bs if you ask me. if i need to buy 3 sets of armor every week i think i'll just go jedi so i don't need to waste up to 500k or moreon decent armor 2-3 times aweek.
thishas also made it a waste of credits to put any armor attachments in the armor... there is no way in hell i'm putting a 50k-5 mil attachment in somthing that won't even last a week.
If this isn't fixed soon i will never consider armorsmith as a profession or any other profession that requires armor.
p.s. my stuff diden't decay from death either. i always insure everything i have after every death. and i rarely die more than 1-2 times a day.
