people have every right to compalin about shi**y rewards. because they suck. plain and simple.
why dont you stop complaining about the complainers.

C'mon Smoka...
The Jedi managed to demolish bounty hunting with Publish 20, so they had to find SOMETHING to whine about.
I'd rather they waste their energy complaining about rewards rather than crying for the nerf of yet another profession.
And I like the holos. Anyone want to trade an x-wing for a tie fighter on Shadowfire?

You receive gifts for free. You receive rewards for doing something (in this case paying money to SOE monthly). All of the new rewards were decorations so some people are definitely disappointed.

At the time I am posting, I see one post (excluding this) about Vet. Rewards and it isn't negative. The only post I see that includes complaining and whining is yours.
With all the money SOE gets from us, they should give us a game that is functional and not full of bugs. We pay their salaries. SOE owes us more than you can imagine.
SOE doesn't give presents, I see an above post explained this, so I wont.
Why should we be grateful for some, as you say, that we are not paying for and is, in most cases, completely worthless and has no use outside of taking up space. I'll be grateful when SOE listens and actually keeps the promises they make, I'll be grateful for what I'm supposed to be receiving and not some furniture or hologram.

No I really really hate the whiners too... See, of course, we pay for this and so on and so on... But what everybody forgets here is that we pay to play the game they give us and are not beeing forced to pay to play...
Take normal offline games.. you like em you buy em... you don't like em, you don't buy em... They won't change the game because you keep crying that the Jedi are too strong or the BHs are too weak...
You know, that really really sux in this community. At first everybody cried "Oh no... its sooooooo hard to become a jedi".... We all know what happened.... now everybodys going "Oh darn hell, soooooooo many jedi... this is not very authentic"
Well bad luck, if the whining would stop, and the devs had time to attend the bugs, instead of always having to change the players diapers, I guess we would be really going somewhere. Of course the loot in SWG sucks... but hell, if it wouldnt, we wouldn't have any artisans anymore, and it would all not work... Look at EQII you dont need crafters cause you can loot good stuff, that sucks too... Same goes for the rewards, I understand the Devs... People like you would love to get 2 Jedi Chars given to you as a present, plus 150 extra skillpoints, an counterfeit cash printer, the beste weapons in the game and still you wouldn't be satisfied!!! Its always been the same since UO.... Some people just need to have something to argue und complain about....
What do you do when you play like Vice City? Write the developers all the time to please make the game better for YOU!?

WoW and EQ2 are lightyears better games simply for the fact that questing actually MEANS something, the rewards are great. SWG will always be a joke because of the trash we normally get, SOE got smart with RoTWs. Holding players hostage to whiny crafters will always ensure SWG a lower account population. NEVER will SWG gain millions of accounts like this. Nerfing vet rewards to junk to throw in a trophy house is further proof of holding the game back not to mention insulting vets whos paid their bills for the past 2 years.

How, exactly, does having a player based economy hold the game back? If anything, it makes this game unique among all the other MMO's. The "whiney crafters" can make things just as good as the "uber loot" you could be getting by questing, or they could until RotW came forth with virtually no schematics for crafters. So you don't have to go kill some giant creature to get your weapon, does that make it any less of a good piece of equipment?
As far as the quest rewards in SWG being trash..... does everything you do in a game have to reward you with some uber thing? Last I checked, people can do quests for fun, not just to get some uber loot that makes them better than others (or on par with others, if they did it too).
Lets compare it to real life, shall we? This is a virtual world, why should it be any different than the real world. When you do something, do you always expect to get some great reward? If you play a game of Football with your friends, do you expect to get some uber helmet or something for winning? When you go hunting, do you expect to get a fancy car for killing something? No, you do it for sport, for fun. Why can't you do something in a game, for fun, without expecting to get much of anything in return? When you want something, a gun lets say, do you go out and do something for the gun owner? No, you buy it from the shop owner, who bought it from the manufacturer.
Or lets compare it to the movies. Where do you think all the rebellion troopers and the stormtroopers got their weapons and armor from? Did they have to go kill the ultimate lifeform to get them? No, they were supplied by crafters, people who made weaponry for a living. It doesn't make sense that the only way to get things is to do aquest for some random person. When Luke went to save Princess Leia, did he do it because he was expecting some kind of uber weapon for it?
Whether people like it or not, crafters are a part of this game. Some people actually do enjoy crafting as a main profession, rather than combat. If the SOE devs come out with a SWG2 and they feel that crafting and the player based economy isn't a good allure for people, they can make it all combat and nothing else. But until then, they can't ostrasize the crafters and make their jobs meaningless just because the combat characters want to get all of the good things in the game by questing.
And yes, I do have1 crafting character. But I also have 5 combat characters, so its not like I don't do any combat.
Back on topic of the rewards..... I personally am glad the devs learned something from the catastrophe that is Anti-Decay kits. They should have thought up some combat solutions that wouldn't have been unbalancing, but I'd rather them put nothing in than something like the ADK. As said already, if you don't like the rewards you can sell them, or you can just not take them and see if they add in other things in the future.
Really, rewards is a false name for them. They really are gifts, thanks for those people who have stuck with the game for 2 years. As the original poster said, you are paying money to play the game, not to get some uber reward from the devs.

A GIFT is something that you are given with no expectations what so ever.
If it is a gift, you did nothing to earn it.
A REWARD is payment of some type. Cash or merchandise. You MUST
do something to EARN a reward.
EARN. You must have an active account for 2 years to EARN the REWARD.
If you hunt down a bail jumper you earn the Reward for their captue. The reward
is not a gift. You earned it!!
Paying $360.00 dollars to keep an account active is real world sacrifice that EARNS
a Reward!! It is ture that many veterans did not spend hours grinding in game to
earn a Reward, that was not what the Rewards program is for!!! It is to reward people
that pay the bills! Get it??!
I hope the clears things up for you. We are not crying, we are pissed off because
we believed the rewards would be worthy of our investment in CASH. For some
reason people think that we have not earned anything. Unless you are smoking
something, and maybe you are Smoka....

Lol that was the best argument ive ever read. Its so true. We pay to play this game, which in turn pays all the DEVs bills and also gives them a check each week. In turn we get a Hologram, it doesnt do anything productive, it spins, and there isnt even a blue effect anymore. As far as the GIFTS go ive really appreciated those, and im sure the rest of the 100% of everyone else who got them did as well. But as a 2+ year vet I believe I should get something from the DEV crew that shows me that they appreciate me for paying their bills for 2 years. Instead I get a Holo of some ship I cant even fly or even aquire in the game itself. Thats like receiving chocolate chip cookies from someone who knows that you are allergic to chocolate. You have to pretend to like it, but eventually gets on your nerves cause you get the same crap every time. If they actually listened to the community instead of trying to point everything at noobs then they might be able to get things accomplished in this game.
