one per instance, but only one person can get the codes per instance anyway

yup, got one myself. Its obtained by doing the lockbox quest on the avatar, however this quest can only be done once, and the guns are obtained only once (unless you have more than one toon that is :smileyhappy
You also get two other pistols thru this quest as well, both with DPS over 300, possibly at 320/330 and they all look sweet. The best animation one is the ion pistol tho, looks like a beam of electric, scary when fighting DJK/M as it looks like they are using force powers on ya
Better yet, here are some s/s (altho cant remember which relates to which, but all are the loot from the lockbox quest)

we only managed to get the one gun but we where a low lvl grp with only 6 of us and we got wiped out in the end with them spawning on top of us i just need to find out where all the box's are now
