If you want to see a exceptional pearl make a charachter on Kettemoor and go to Corellia Corell Peaks in the museums a exceptional pearl is up for display.
(cords formuseums listed in the info tent next to the shuttle)

Have an exceptional, its been an exceptional for a long time now.
I've heard everything from they tune like normal pearls to they can tune up to 100 damage
