I think the recyclers are only good for certain professions right now (a dev undersight) so with a little effort they can be usefull to ALL, like the original post states.
Exactly what crafting professions do you think would not benefit?
I know the following professions all have schematics that do not depend on the quality of resources: architect, artisan, chef, droid engineer, shipwright, and tailor.
I don't know about armorsmith and weaponsmith, primarily because I have never taken up any skills in those professions.
I don't know about BE, because the profession was revamped after I had relinquished all those skills.
It doesn't benefit my doctor in the slightest ![]()
Yes, doctor is a crafting profession.

I got plenty of 1-5k stacks waiting for a chemcial recycler. Almost all chef food requires a component which uses grind quality resources which means we can definatley use a floral recycler. Last, we use grind quality crystalline gemstone and I believe a mineral recycler allows us to make that so that's another way chefs can use recyclers.
Actually, chefs seem to be quite disappointed with some of the recyclers. Yes, the creature recycler works for milk, but the ore recycler returns a generic gemstone that can only be used in glasses, not casks. The flora recycler is also not as useful as hoped:

I was so excited to see the recyclers. I frantically gathered the required components to assemble the creature and chemical ones.
Can't tell you how disappointed I was when I finally used one. The chemical won't work for me as a tailor because it turns my fiberplast and petrochem into a ratheruseless chemical. I was so hoping I could put all my bits and pieces of fiberplast into the recycler and get one crate of a lower quality fiberplast from it.
Well I was even more disappointed when I used the creature recycler. As a tailor I use wooly hide extensively, but can I get wooley hide out of the recycler, no.
As a master tailor, these recyclers do little to nothing to help me in my profession. So I gave my recyclers to my friend who is an architect. She will at least get some benefit out of them.
That's my two cents worth. I love the idea of the recyclers, but the implementation of them was extremely disappointing for me.

A smuggler can use everything that he needs as recycled. The only problem is we don't have much of a market for spice and smuggler crafted items. In fact there is no reason right now to even call us smugglers.....wow...maybe another day for that discussion sorry!

Well i have made all 5 recyclers. They are just being used for display purposes as a collectible for me. It was a challenge to have them made, i wish they were of more use to my shipwright. I agree, why not make them more useful. It takes alot of effort to make some of them, i wouldnt mind a little improvement in their function. Either materials with 800's or a chance of improving existing resources. Maybe if you have a small amount of a great steel , say 10k. and you put in 50k of junk steel , you can get 15k of the great steel. Sort of a 10% increase in one resource at the expense of some other steel thats not useable.
Or if take an avg or the 2 steels and you could maybe take 10k of great steel, combine with 90k of poor steel and get 50k or good steel. Something along those lines.
