Thread: Force Crystal Cave
This is going to be the straw that broke the camels back.
Sony made a very poor release deicision by timing the production release when they did. The game was by no means ready. Us beta testers all new it. The fanbois all tried to claim that we just wanted to continue "playing" beta. I am a professional software test engineer and I can assure you the beta testers were not "playing" anything, we were testing an application that was in a development phase. It amazed myself and countless other beta testers when one of the developers went into this ludicrous rant about the state of the game and being "ready" to release it. Conventiently for Sony the beta message boards were dumped when the game went live. This tactic continues with allowing only registered paying customers to read these forums.
The wowing of fanbois was quite effectively done by Q3PO and others. The fanbois had swolled up the dropping of creature mounts, player cities and space from the initial release. After so much hype and so much fanfare they were truly chomping at the bit depsite the cuts in game functionality. Quite shortly after the production release most of the fanbois were also agreeing with the beta testers about broken professions, stupid mission bugs, a large lack of content and many other issues. Then the nerfing started, the patches caused new bugs and the snowball got larger. Most accepted the simple truth that they were in fact paying for Beta Phase IV.
The holy grail for many people has been the desireof playing a Jedi. Its turned to sour grapes. The stupidity of the holocrons, the need to specialise in elite professions that otherwise players had no desire to learn, the inability for crafters to progress with the task and the complete lack of an absorbing story or quest to get ever closer to being a Jedi......sour grapes for combat elite people exclusivelywho camp a crowded spot flaming other die hards in a mob crazed insanity for a stupid holocron to tell them they now need to grind their way to master chef.
Once the uber elite with no life have spent the next week without sleep playing continously except for server reboots, then the real crying will begin. Enter the Jedi bugs. Can you imagine it? Permadeath. The cries from the uber elite that their Jedi died a few times because of a bug and now they have to start over. The cries of the uber elite that a bounty hunter and commando killed them and they should nerf all other professions so its impossible to kill a Jedi.
Can you begin to imagine the outrage of these sorts of Jedi issues? I mean, with your normal characters the worst that can happen is you spend a few minutes in the med center and cantina to heal up.
No doubt Sony wanted to keep the uber elite from boredom, to still get the subscription money. Also there is the people who will be attracted to keep playing for the possibility of possibly one day catching up to the uber elite and unlocking a FSS. The question is, given that its allready sour grapes, will it turn out the next step of becoming a Jedi will unravel even more holes in this whole game?
Why is it so hard for you guys to give the waypointto the Crystal Cave?
Crystal Cave - Dantooine / - 6266 7432
You guys are selfish!
Good job to the guy that answered the question without the editorial, BTW docs and cms great place to make credits, droid right outside the cave and buff away.
And if you decide to go there and then leave there are savages and other force NPCs all over Dant. Just not to sure any have dropped what you are looking for, I am still reading all the posts. I only believe what I can see and have been skeptical about reports of lower class ncp's dropping.

You're better off taking a pass through the Aa'kuan cave or rough up Lord Nyax. The untrained wielders are CL60, the force crystal hunters are CL61, and even with a full line of Luck they drop crud.
Luck only affects credit amount drops...that is the rumor, anyway.
