NS Bicep:
because I rp my characters as cousins whose grandmother was from a Singing clan allied with the Singing Mountain clan. I've decorated my cantina as a Dathomiri meditation hall & on the rare occasions one isn't wearing her bicep, it is stored there. For the one that is a Pike/Sword warrior, it is a must
(My mayor & the topography are kind enough to continue the cliff & valley forest theme outside as well as inside: Rielig Steppes, Sunrunner)

Palm Frond:
striking, & because for 6 months one of my characters was a professional decorator (giving up because people will spend millions on a weapon but complain at 300k for a week's work on their home). I put one free into each house I decorated, my trademark. Also, they are something green, a colour far too rare in interiors.

Aurilian Plant: my characters love nature & greenery. I hated having to get to Master Medic to start the quest but look forward to tending the plants each day, & after a year, they have finally started to give fruit (which fortunately is useless now or I might be tempted to eat them
)
Other favourites:
Eye of Mesra: generated much rp from those around me that roleplay superstitious characters
Singing Mountain Clan crystal, Jar of Healing Salve: because of the Singing clan connection
the Endor painting: so beautiful. ... with Valley View running it a close second
the cabinet: matches an existing range of furniture & it's from a schematic able to be crafted... it's always nice when things ingame encourage co-operation between characters.
the bottles: beautiful... & some from schematics (wish the Kashyyk ones could be unstacked)
the Bol skull: can be rped to be from any of the Bolma genus round the galaxy ... & a low-level quest
Aldaraan flora: though I hate pink, anything that extends the decorating range is good & the story arc was well thought out.
Glowing Mystical Orb, wookiee totems & Lytus family artefact: the lighting effects ... & the rp of getting them was interesting.
Webweaver rug & all the other carpets: Webweaver is the best to look at & for the story of getting it but anything to change the look of a floor is good
Heirloom drinking glass & the named foods from Tatooine: make a dining room more homely
Asteroid chunks: the only way to transform a Naboo cantina into a part of Dathomir
In summary: things which enhance roleplay, objects of beauty, & anything to enhance the illusion that one has a living home. These are my favourites.
Suggestions:
More plants!! The artwork is there ingame in npc areas. Architects even have their current items labelled by default as potted plant style 1 etc.
Sub-parts from the outdoor gardens. (and the ability to place outdoor items on house/guild hall balconies/roofs)
Fish-tanks: would help on dataspace too as the many items needed to create existing aquaria could be reduced to perhaps 3/4 new styles.
I love the suggestion of moving fish in them... & having to keep the fish alive, as per the Aurilian plants.

Paint kits similar to Vehicle Paint Kits: so we could have a variety of colours on objects. Perhaps make these something usable only by the crafter during the construction process. But it would be nice to have eg. a blue small bed or a green leather couch.
Thoughts:
It's vital to have some objects that newcomers & low/non-combat people can gain. As the game becomes more & more dominated by combat & sadly moves from its innovative early design which supported non-combat, social play in addition to combat, it's important that those left who still are entertainers/crafters/only part-combat can gain some things for themselves & not have to feel totally reliant on the whims of friends nor be ultra-rich.
Some items that can only be gained through Entertainer/Crafter/Scouting profession quests. Having at least some of these as non-tradeable, droppable only in one's own residence//wearable would be extra-cool to reward people for sticking with areas of the game that extend the galaxy beyond hitting things.
Items that are rewards for memorable quests have the added bonus of potential roleplay as one does the quest, as opposed to random drops (though those add a bit of spice too
)
SUMMARY: I hope this thread means there are more loots on the way, & not just stuff to make people uber. SOE has attracted a number of women, a number of older people & a number of newcomers to online gaming through having a game which isn't just "Hack & Slay". Decorative items, items from memorable, meaningful quests & loot which isn't just for use in combat all help enhance roleplay & social gaming & keep us here
ps. I love the Decorative House Plant Vet reward of course! & the Fire.

Not counting weapons, attachments, or anything that modifies weapons or armor(ie pearls etc..) what was your favorite piece of loot?
Why did you find it so cool?
My favorite piece of non-combat loot is definitely my Krayt Skull
I like it because the Huff Darklighter quest to get the skull is one of my favorite quests and the reward is most excellent!
I finished that quest but never got mine. heh. But that was over a year ago.

My all time favorite piece of loot was without a doubt a salty (light baby blue) X-wing pilot's jumpsuit. It was the first one I ever saw that wasn't bright orange, and it just looked so cool on me!
The reason it was so very cool was that I got it off an imperial pilot at those old 'imperial base' missions you used to be able to get out of anchorhead in the first two months of the game.
I wore that thing for ages till it finally fell apart (ie, It dissappeared from my inventory).

I keep a Corsec ID on me just to show those pesky imperial patrols when they ask for my identification.

An NS Bracer, that I gave away to a dancer waaaay back in 2003..for free. these days, since the devs in their infinite wisdom, dont let them drop any more, can be sold for hundreds of millions...*sigh*
second, was the Rebel Endor Commando helmet, wich also is not dropped or given anywhere these days. Cool because it's one of the few items in the game you can wear that puts you back into Star Wars, and gives you part of a canon rebel armor/uniform(The one and only in the game really)

I remember a lot of debate about voodoo being a real world religion and the voodoo doll was like having a painting of the virgin marry put in game.

I find 'voodoo doll' to be as much an adjective as it is a noun. Perhaps there is a more politically correct word for them but any humanoid shaped small object, primitive in appearance, fashioned out of foraged and harvested resources like branches or animal bones, with conscious visible effort to appear as someone else all created in a likeness only duplicatable by someone living in a mud hutt instantly draws the word 'voodoo doll' in my mind. The only other word I can conjur at the moment is totum.

Actually the proper name for an item that looks like someone is an Effigey (not sure on the spelling). But most people wouldn't have a clue what the word means. Totems can be anything you put special value upon/in, which could includea doll in the form of a person. And being offended by it...it's just a game.

A fetish is a natural object believed to have supernatural powers, or in particular an object created by people that has power over people.
A totem is any natural or supernatural object, being or animal which has personal symbolic meaning to an individual and to whose phenomena and energy one feels closely associated with during one's life.
An effigy is a rough representation of a person. In some religious rituals, an effigy is used to represent an undesired person or spirit.
( Not that any of this stuff actually tells SOE what our favorite loot was.
