Just found out from CSRs that the alphabet rule is bogus. This is basically stated in the in-game help also. Knowledge base article 11390 for anyone interested, about 2/3rds down in it.

Yeah I had the same thing happen to a Disease resist aa. Sorry, man. I was pretty bummed myself
since I paid 8 mil for the aa.
