Thread: toow quest rewards = no trade :(

I never really jump about this stuff before it actually goes live just because it can always be changed but I know how SOE has done this in the past. I have quit twice now and said nothing good about this game in the time I quit to anyone who asked about it, the game itself I love but its the management and stupid changes that majority of the population did not want but it was pushed anyways.


Well even after all of that they got and make the CU and jedi revamp and I hear about it so I come back since it sounds like they have improved. Been playing about a month now, unlocked a jedi, got him templated, bought a ton of loot to decorate my houses and guild hall with. Having a great time until recently.


Between all of the new changes coming out such as the snare/speed buff nerfs (not even going to get into it again but if it goes live I wont enjoy playing my jedi so why bother playing it. I actually enjoy the getting hunted by bh's aspect of jedi and thought it was a great idea but if we have no chance to even get in a hit its pretty pointless).


This change on top of that one really takes the cake, my alt is a crafter and I do the same as a lot of the other people, I make money with him and just buy the high end loot I want for my main character or just stuff like holos, blankets, weapons, etc for decoration in my house. How the hell am I supposed to get them if they are stuck to the character who receieves them? How many groups would actually take a cl1 with no combat skills on a high level quest.


Wouldnt surprise me if their idea to fix this would be to add some kind of crafting quest like the village, yeah going to a new planet and finding some items to craft together is not a quest.

the latest news on no drop no trade:
Here is what is meant by most:

All loot drop and 95% of the quest rewards have been moved to bio-link or just tradeable. The few exceptions are the pre-order/retail rewards, the Chu-Gon Dar Cube, items from the Lair of the Crystal, and a few other "special" items found throughout ToOW. The cube loot pieces that were no-trade are being shifted to being tradeable...they will not be in this update, but will be in the next. Cube schematics will still be no-trade, although the parts that make them will be tradeable. Crafters who want these schematics will need to get a cube and collect the pieces in order to make them. Loot/Quest reward schmatics will be tradeable.

Note: Loot collected prior to this patch will still show up as No Trade, but any new loot gained will not.

OMG i was getting really worried reading all this. If the items like rifles cannot be sold/traded by my Swordsman than this is useless. I, like many people, enjoy doing the quests and have done them and purchased copies of certain items. ! for display in my toons home, and another to display in my Crafting/Retail house. Since my main house cant possibly store enough items to serve as both a house and a store.
