i know there are some races that are "special" in their body size ect (wookies, trandos for example) but it really doesnt make sense not to allow common "human like" races to wear special hemlets like stormtrooper armor or RIS armor helmet.
i'm bothan for example because i liked being a bit smaller and don't wanted to be like the rest because they have better racial special abilities but when i would have known that i would be discriminated because i took a non human race i wouldnt have taken bothan, i would have taken human and won't be in trouble now.
this is a game and it makes absolutely no sense doing it that way. mon cals can use composite helmets (even if their egg like heads dont fit the standard helmets), twileks have leekus and still fit composite, zabraks can wear every helmets ect ect... its absolutely ANNOYING ! bothans can wear ubese helmets but cant use ris helmets (even if they look a little bit like each other) nor can they use storm trooper helmets (yes yes yes... bothans are not meant to be imperial, but heck, thats a game and i bet you don't care if a bothan is under the helmet or a human, 10 storm troopers enhance the star wars effect more than 2 + 8 others that can't wear them, who cares who is under the helmet).
please remove that exceptions. gametechnically they dont make any sense nor do they make logical when you take above examples into considderation.
a ris armor without ris helmets is no ris nor is a stormtrooper. it will get even worser when the new armor gets implemented and the only ones who can wear them to make the feeling more star wars like are humans and zabraks

I just spent months and millions of credits collecting material for RIS, only to find as its handed to me that I can't wear it as a Mon.
I don't have to tell you how mind-numbingly discouraging this is, and an utter waste of time and millions and millions of credits, let alone how much I was looking forward to it, only to find the message, "You cannot equip this item." *floor drops out*

You think a Bothan is a bad race? Man...wait till you try wookiee, huge amount of racial exclusion there. Half the stuff on quests aren't even wearable! Word of advice...don't be a wookiee.

i am in the same position as BleuDestiny
spend ALOT of time looking for ris components only to discover i cant wear helm either (im trando)
i had a whole suit promised to me by my WS as i have helped her collect loads of the bits,
after trying a helm just to see if i could actually wear itand seeing the 'u cannot equip this item' message, i felt soo let down,
i dont want just chest ,legs and arms I WANT THE HELM TOO DAMMIT!!
if i had known when i made the toonat chimeara birththat faction pets would be double the price and i would be DISCRIMINATED against with armour,i would never have chosen to be a trandoshen
what made it worse was just afteri tried the helm a twi'lek turned up to pick up his pre-ordered ris helm and promptly put it on with no probs (lekku pokeing out everywhere)
tbh im gutted

How do we change our race? Should be an option if SOE can't provide playability equity without disclosing it upfront.

They could just have warnings. And think about it... What's ment to be the most common race in the galaxy? Humans. Are they? No. This was probably to help boost those numbers...

I don't even get why we can't in the first place? Its not like its not "Star Warsy" to be wearing a Storm Trooper helmet on my Rodian. One of those "fun" things they need to go against "Star Wars" on...
