Thread: How's this for a 2 year reward?

As a 2-year reward, players could, as a one-time reward, get 15 skill points.

I don't think that would be particularly unbalancing, as you're looking at a novice box or one branch (granted, it would be lot of FS boxes, but I bet most of those are already used up).

It wouldn't be terribly unbalancing, and I think veteran gamers deserve a bit of an edge.

What do you think?

I suppose that would be a nice reward, but say goodbye to ever beating a vet player. 15 points can make all the difference depending on a template.

It's a good idea in theory, but it'd never work. For all the stackers, that would give them the one branch they needed to be invincible but couldn't get.

I guess depending on the template, the points could mean an extra elite branch. My brain hadn't made to the upper tiers of character development. The way I envisioned it, if you're TKA, it would mean an extra brawler branch, for example. But a BH could get an extra TK or pistol branch out of it, and heaven knows the Jedi wouldn't like that

It'd probably be better to wait and see how the combat upgrade is gonna effect everything before I want any more skill points

How about just giving us a "Real Live" female twi'lek dancer, in our choice of color? That would be the best damn 2 year reward a guy could ask for.

NGE is not for me.
Both accounts cancelled for this 2+ year Vet.

Actually i kinda like the skill points idea, just that we should be given like maybe 1sp for every month of play. Encourages people to keep playing to get the sp and keeps ppl happy.

Too unbalancing. 24 extra SP (or even more if you're thinking cumulatively) would be too damaging.

Not that I wouldn't MIND having the ability to harvest for free or fit xx4x Medic onto my 2xxx current, but still - it would be unfair to newer players, and unbalance the entire playing population.

I submit the following for you to examine here.

Master Brawler
TK 0300
Fencer 0440
Master Swordsman
Pikeman 0040
Medic 2040

246SP usage, 4 left over for FS Melee Speed. It's light on fixed defenses, but against high-level MOBs, melee/ranged mean nothing anyway.

Just a few stats from this build:
Defense vs Blind +80 (+20 might be difficult but definitely doable to get in AA/CA form)
Defense vs Dizzy +85 (same as above)
Defense vs Intimidate +40
Defense vs Knockdown +115
Defense vs Posture Change +110
Defense vs Stun +85 (cappable with a B/E bandolier)

Now ask yourself - what kind of damage could be done with 24 extra SP to this profile? TK Med (14 points, 10 left)...I'd round it out with Medic x3xx for /drag and faster recovery and leave the remaining five SP for FS Melee speed.

Yeah... I'd rather see it this way. That way there would be no sharp defining line between the skills of the young vs the skills of the old. Each month, you just get a little better. Maybe 1sp/month for the 1st year, and 1sp/2months thereafter?

As to the argument that a noobwould never be able tocompeat with a 2 year vet... Is there any chance they could now? Seriously, what chance would a 2 month old character have against a player who has all his pre-nerf equipment, loads of attachments and loot weapons, and the cash and connections to get... whatever they want? Not that I begrudge the vets their status by any means, they earned it; but what new player is going to offer a serious challenge to someone that's been here since beta, seen it all, and kept the best?

My idea which i think is great would be a 106 skill point alt. minion. How fun would that be a pure crafter could have a alt with a mastery in 1 combat prof, or a pure combat could have a master smith with hiring 4

I forgot to add under my Idea the alt would only get 4 lots, and can't place pvp bases
