How many people have actually got any and if so what didyou get? I've heard of people gettinglegendary republic blasters thats have 500 max dmg and a 1 second recharge, but im not sure if that is true.Just curious to see how rare and elite the drops are.

Back in the pre-nerf days, T-21's reigned supreme. There weren't too many Rifleman then and there were even fewer T-21's available due to the specific resources required, that and the fact that there weren't too many Rifleman, so there wasn't much of a demand for them. I think it was by the first Publish that the T-21, unsliced and without Pwrps, got capped somewhere in the 400s Max Dmg. Range.

Go on imagedump and search (exceptional) or (legendary). Theres a ton of them on there. From what I hear most of the good drops come from Night sister Elders and Dark jedi masters. A guy on my server looted an exceptional jawa ion rifle with 411 max damage unsliced from a night sister ranger.

I was looking for possibly a legendary VK or some other melee weapon. ANybody have any idea where these drop off of? Or is it totally random?

Legendary and Exceptionalweapons drop off Krayts, Nightsisters, and Rancors. The more diffucult the mob, the better your chances, but it's probably a one in a million shot looting one of these weapons of an elder. I've looted more crap off elders than I care to remember. People have also mentioned that they'd looted exceptional or legendary heavy duty leather or satchels from these guys, so even the lucky can get screwed.

I recomend killing meatlumps outside coronet. I hear the drop rate is like 1 in 5 or something like that.

I wonder if rancors are good for exceptionals, since they can be taken out in mass numbers easily, and are much more common then Nightsisters.
I noticed that NPCs tend to drop exceptional versions of loots they normally drop, and more rarely loots they don't normally drop.
I'd say that Sith shadow thugs might be a good bet for exceptionals because of that, as they drop all sorts of weapons, including VKs. Sometimes, even a non-exceptional loot from one of those can be awesome.

the only exceptional i've ever looted came from a rancor belly back when i was just a lowly M Ranger/Mrifles. Even when i had a really nice elder soling template they would refuse to drop really nice stuff for me ...yeah i pulled a few nice mind fires but nothing uber from elders. It's all luck, over a long enough timeline a room full of monkeys would type the entire King James Bible verbatim too :/ Keep killing high-end mobs and they will drop if you're lucky enough
