Just curious. I'm starting to think im jinxed or bugged or something, i'm master doc/ TKM and have killed what appears to be close to 40 over past few days with no scale drop. I get segs occassionally and kimo scales also, but no GDK scale. Anyone know if I"m doing something wrong? wrong proff? Etc?

Yeah just keep at it, my first drop took 70+ kills , next one 10 kills. You'll get one eventually.

I've killed tons of these and it's all random. I've killed in the neighborhood of 300 GDK (quit keeping track after 250) and have averaged almost exactly 1/20. My longest dryspell was near 60, but then I've had days where I've gotten 3 drops in one day. Just stick with it you'll get them eventually. And if you wanna do it quicker get M. Swords and FS Speed. They go down really fast with a nice PH especially if you can keep the intim off of you.

Oh and just to be sure you are only killing "Giant Dune Kimogilla" right. I've helped people before who couldn't figure it out and came to find out they were just killing any kimo they found.

killed like 10 other day in a buff sesion

just the got the crappy scales that are useless

i gave up after that,i will never kill them again, they make nasty diseases to ham bars, and if they hit mind well, its very anoyings

that day i ended with all my ham bars blacked and 999 BF

the muscian tiped me instead of me to him becaue thx to me he got big exp

Yeah I killed about 40 solo then went with a buddy and we looted 3 scales (not bad i guess). Went about a week later and killed 1 and got 11 solo heh (sweetness) Killed about a doxen since then with no luck.

Whereas you have killed 40 or so and no scales as yet, my guild went out the other day and found 5 off the first one they killed. I'm not bragging I'm only just saying that its PURE luck nothing more really

I've gone entire buff sessions with 0 drops, and I've gone out once and on the first kill looted 11 scales. Really just luck.

Does anyone know if Disease Resistance buffs help to mitigate the disease these things cause?

RIS isn't rare anymore, as soon as they changed it to drop more than one, which I'm kind of happy about and more so felt ripped off as an old armorsmith who did it back in November of 03' and wasted more time killing Kimos by the dozen, camping the Woolamander temple for 2days straight, where as I went to the temple yesterday and got 22 fragments.
