Thread: Does anyone know who drops Datapad Connectors and Backlights?!

I have gone through several types of npcs. I have looked through the forums for information, to no avail.
I completed one datapad, with a piece of fiction as the reward. The only way I completed it was that someone sold it on the bazaar, but it has been a month since I have seen these pieces being sold on the bazaar terminals.
I am trying to make these to give as gifts to my fellow guildies, and I would appreciate it if someone could point me in the right direction.

Aakauns found on talus in the aakaun cave or through missions. if you were on kettemoor i would give you these things for free, ive got a ton of them

Aw, man I didn't know that I'd have to take on higher-end NPC's to get 'em, but thanks for the info.
I'll get on that as soon as I get a couple more boxes of Teras Kasi lol. Already up to 0021

naw, dont worry about them hurting you. i regularly fight them unbuffed, they are quite easy

Datapad connectors drop in the Corbal hideout on Rori. Backlights I think the marooned pirates on Lok might drop... can't be sure of that though. I know I have 3 or 4 and I got em on Lok.

ive looted every bit of the datapad repair kit off beldonna's on corellia, connectors, lights, batteries, housing etc

Thanks for all of the replies! I've been searching the bazaar every day now for someone to sell the pieces, and I lost a lot of them by putting them in the kits and logging off. You know, that old bug.
I guess I'll know where to look for everything else hehe. If that link you provided didn't show pop-ups, I'd say that you should make it into a thread and float it to the top lol.
But I wouldn't want to instigate anything, so just /ignore me hehe.

Its part of several different stories. There's Meatlump Research, I think a cookbook of some type, and several others. They are randomly determined upon completion, but each story has several pieces to it that can be completed with good odds or a lot of components.
The Datapad Housing and Datadisk Repair Kit and their components are completed to create the Empty Datapad and the Datadisk. When you insert the Datadisk into the Empty Datapad it becomes a piece of a story.
