I have had an active account since Launch, but a few months back I deleted my character and started a new one. I never cancelled my account, but my in game character changed. Will this prevent me from the veteran reward? As I said, I've had an active SWG account for nearly a year now, I just switched characters a while back. Any help would be appreciated.

I belive they go from the date you signed up, not the date you created your character.

I think that it is based on having an account that has been paid up continuously for 6 months. I don't know, though, if it counts if you say palyed for the first 7 months, took a month off, then started back up.
Anyways, they stated that once you hit 6 months even in the future, you'll get it, and you can't get it until JTL, which is months away anyway.

Your forum registration date can be different from your game registration date. Not everyone hopped on to the forum once the game started.. Ok I did but that's just me

your forum name says you registered april 19...that doesnt seem like almost a year. If by 'new character' you meant 'new account', i don't think you'll be able to get the reward unless you've had that account for at least 6 months.

Quoted from the main site page:
Star Wars Galaxies is pleased to announce the first veteran reward for longtime players! Veteran players are those players who have subscribed for at least 6 consecutive months. These players will receive the deed for the multi-passenger ship model SoroSuub Personal Luxury Yacht 3000 the day Star Wars Galaxies: Jump to Lightspeed launches. This starship model has been popularized in Star Wars fiction by Lando Calrissian's personal vessel, the Lady Luck. Non-veteran players will receive the reward once they become veteran players. Similar to the Special Edition goggles, this item will not be tradable.

When I logged in, I got a menu for the 3-month veteran reward.
I've been playing since week 1.
So, I've gota question: do we get every level of veteran reward up to our current level, or only our highest, or do we "spend" months of our veteran-ness on rewards?
It seems that I can't pass up the 3-month ones to go to higher-level ones.
(Oh, and I did get me a yacht, for whatever that's worth... )
Anybody know how this works?

I believe it said in the original web page description that after you choose a 3 month reward you will then get the6 month reward option and after choosing the 6 month reward you will then get the option for the 1 year reward
so basically you shall be entitled to 3 rewards if here a year but have to choose them in lowest to the highest order.
hope this works lol I'l be logging in later tonight :-)
