Thread: How rare are spinner blades?

I have everything I need for this except for the spinner blades. I've checked galaxywide for over three weeks, hunted those npc's on corellia for a few hours a day... Nothing. Are they THAT rare? My friend, who plays on ahazi, checked his galaxy bazaar and they had one for the entire server. It was going for 1.2mil.

Now, this seems like a cool gadget, along with the other ones. It makes all the different grind material into one large stack. 200 stats down the board isn't that great at all for any crafting profession. But for us rangers, who utilize hide/bone for traps and camps, it is very useful. But we're not all that common. But the main question is, is it THAT rare?

They're TOO rare. Some recipes take smelted metal so the metal smelters are useful and might pay for themselves, but the 200-stat creature resources are only good for someone who's willing to take a BIG hit in quality in order to a milk-related factory run. (You cannot recycle eggs.) If the creature recyclers were good for more than taking small stacks of grind to make larger stacks of grind, I'd see the rarity being reasonable, but that's not the case.


On Eclipse, they start at 250k and go up to 1.5 million. And they're harder to get now, due to the silly "Missions will always be your level or higher" thing.

They're not too bad - only about as rare as chicken teeth.


Seriously, as a loot item, you'd be better off attempting to find an exceptional weapon or a +25 food experimentation tape than you are a spinner blade.

well, there's one trick i could think of... have a low-lvl char take 2 hidden daggers missions on corellia (those are the only things I know drop these) and keep going between the two missions and clearing the NPCs (this doesnt auto-fail them after a few times like is used to, as far as i know). They should drop unless the CU nerfed them out of existence

The CU did not nerf these. They drop the same as pre-CU - rarely, but they DO drop. I've gotten six since CU.

I got them running hidden dagger missions out of Tyrena. It took me roughly 30 sets of missions to get them. They're there... just rare.


Right now I'm suffering through looking for the Agitator Motor. It's all I need ... and Canyon Corsair Captains just don't appear to be dropping them.

I did get one off of the Captain that spawns in the tent, and after the CU, but it did take a while

Yes, I can confirm they still drop. I have looted 4 of them since CU.

Yeah blue wire is still on my list of things to get ..just can't seem to loot any.

Spent a day at the Rori poi trying for Tumbler motor schems finally walked away with 2 ..

looted an agitator motor schem in under an hour by killing wild spawning corsair cap'n's...Question: are there any completed agitator motors being dropped ? or only schematics?

..as for spinner blades..Haha ..whats a spinner blade look like cause i've never looted any

True. I'm wanting the creature recycler simply tocombine hides and bone into one big stack of each. I make so many traps and camps with what hide/bone I have that it would be very convenient to continue with the same schematic. That way I can just combine what hide and bone I have into the same crap.

Extremely rare they are, find them you probably will not.


But all of the parts are now very rare. Seriously brings down the value of these recyclers as anything other than a ridiculously expensive toy. Right now, to complete a full set I only need 1 more agitator motor and 8 spinner blades. On top of all of that, the recycler crafting is broken again. It's the same bug as before, so the workaround should still take care of it. Of course, now I wish I had finished my templates before they started so that I too could have finished them when they first came out.
