might check the tempest forum.
only creature recycling we do around here is at gun- or knife-point. creatures don't seem to care for it.

As far as I can tell, these things are generally possesed by the loot hunters, and not necessarily the Rangers.

Except... the advent of the recycler is what tuned this creature hunter into a loot hunter

I have to admit... for my BioE/ranger (noncombat), it's a handy toy... it allowed me to close up two houses where I was storing odds and ends of meat.
of course, it took my rifle/TKA/brawler to get the parts, and my artisan/merchant to put it together.

Eggs are a sub-category of "Meat". Hey, quit laughing, I mean it! Try putting them into a schem that just needs "meat", and it'll work.
It probably has something to do with the resource tree, and the recycler just "bumps" the input resource up a hard-coded number of spots.
So it probably looks something like this:
- Meat
- Domesticated Meat
- Corellian Dom. meat
- {name} Corellian Dom meat
- Dantooine Dom. meat
- {name} Dantooine Dom meat
- etc.
- Carnivore Meat
- {planets go here}
- Eggs
- Corellian Eggs
- {name} Corellian Eggs
- Dantooine Eggs
- {name} Dantooine Eggs
- etc
The recycler probably just takes the named resource type and bumps it up three levels. Since "Eggs" are at the same level as the other meat types, they all become "Processed Meat".
Granted, I don't think this is the way it should work, but that's probably the way it does work.

I am going to be building one of my own very soon. Some information that I have not been able to find:
Do the resulting stats of the resource stack equal to any mathematical equation, or are they a set value?
It sets all the stats of the recycle meat to 200.
Does the resulting stack display any planet location if all components were from the same planet?
No. The recycled meat is called "Synthesized Meat"

You will get stast of 200 on all stat types.
And there will be no planet type or enything.
I have recycled all my milk leftovers, and i think it says Refined Milk all stats are 200.
