Thread: Jedi Holocrons
Hi everyone
I have a full jedi holocron and shards. I also have a dark jedi amulet. I was lucky enough to get them in trades early on, but does anyone know...
where to get more holocron material? shards? or full ones?
I have also heard that people have been able to assemble shards into a full one.
Any thoughts?
You are the second person I have heard of that has found these shards, Davinci's quest story he talks about shards I don't really know much about them though.
Jedi Holocron is from doing a mission on Dathomir at the imp prison.
The Dark Jedi Amulet you can get from a criminal in the cantina in a town on Tantoonie as a mission to deliver it to someone, can't remember the name of the town but it has no shuttle port I think it is the town to the farthest east at the top part of the map.
To be completely honest I think the holocron shards are just like the rest of the junk you can get off meatlumps or are rewarded with from some of the theme park quests.(I.E. broken data pads, bustedbinoculars ect).
The "full holocrons" I've run into a few times but most of these holocron type of missions are associated with delivering them to someone else (I.E. not for you to keep) but some people put them in the bank and then cancel the quest which gives them the reward of keeping the holocron.
As for assembling "Full Holocrons out of shards". I'm of the opinion that it's some sly dog con job. Tell people that you assembled a full holocron out of the shards and they might pay alot more for it than if you told them "Oh I got this off a quest that I canceled". Alot of people are doing this type of thing I see holocrons on the bizzar constantly selling for 3k.
In all honesty I don't think you can assemble the holocron with the shards no matter how many you pick up, and I don't think that this has anything to do with unlocking FSCS, or training.
Don't get me wrong it's a nice item to have on your shelf in your house, just like those non functional light sabers you can loot off a dead dark jedi. But I wouldn't put much time, effort, or credits into assembling a holocron until we've got some concrete proof that they aren't as useless as that CDEF pistol I looted off a night sister.
Having just searched through 26 pages of posts on "splinters" I have amassed the following rumors:
Holocron Splinters: Rumoredred and blue, some may be numbered (7/9 and 9/12 listed examples). Rumored quest to assemble them. Found on Criminal missions, Han's 2nd mission on Lokanddropped of Dark Jedi Masters. 8 Cities mentioned where criminals have been found. One WP: Lok (1621, 3288)
Full holocron: (cube) found on 2nd dark jedi mission. Supposedly the Dark Jedi Holocron.
Full holocron (pyramid) no further infromation. Supposedly the Light Jedi Holocron
No one has CriminalWPs for me but I'll have them this weekend. I suspect Splinters might be easy to find and numbered (repairable) splinters are a rare drop within the normal methods. I'll know by Sunday as I plan tofind 30+ splinters (one per criminal). Also found a nice walkthrough on doing the delivery and escort missions for these KOS beasties too.
the 'whole' holocrons that you get, might be a representation of an actual item, but not actually work itself.
The at-st helemet, that you get in a mission just like the holocron cubes. You cannot wear this helmet. But you can tell by looking inside of it that it is made to be worn.
You just can't get the item by the same name and model that can be wornright now in the game.
so isn't it possible that the 'whole' cubes are not 'functioning' cubes....and that one aquried by othe means(possibly assebleing them?) would function for what ever perpous it has.
Not to say it even has a useable perpous, maybe it is how force sensitives gain skills.....possibly...not likely....
but those are my thoughts on the not working 'whole' cubes
I've never seen one of these things... do they come in sets like the discs? Or do you just need one? How much are people selling them for? Who drops them?
Cheese
Important?
