Thread: A guide to Krayts and the loot filled beast they are.
Hello there!
Take a seat next to the fire and let Liba tell you a little story about the wonderful and exciting world of hunting and looting Krayts.
Krayt Dragons are one of the most challenging and fun creatures you can take on in all the galaxy. Towering over all other creature’s on Tatooine, they are also one of the best loot dropping creatures of all time.
Found at the POI Krayt Graveyard, has well has north of Bestine, around Jabba’s palace, and random spawns across Tatooine. They come in Several different sizes.
Types of Krayts
Juvenile Krayts - With a Combat Level of 77 and health of only (??), these are the easiest to defeat.
Adolescent Krayts - With a Combat Level of 78 and a health of (??), these beast can be taken solo without to much trouble.
Canyon Krayts - With a Combat Level of 84 and health of (??), these usually require a group, but not to tough to handle.
Giant Canyon Krayts - With a Combat Level of 86 and health of (??), these guys need a group to take, but do able, so never fear.
Grand Krayts - With a Combat Level of 90 and a health of (??), these guys are tough. Found at the north end of the Krayt Graveyard at a static spawn with two Adolescents and another Grand, these static spawns do not drop loot.
Ancient Krayts - With a Combat Level of 94 and a health of (??), these are the big daddies of Krayts. With a badge for defeating one, these guys can take out a full group of fighters in no time flat. A word of warning, watch your self’s around them.
Locations of Krayts
Juvenile and Canyon Krayts can usually be found spawned together, but sending a pet to attack the Juvenile and pulling the pet back before it attacks can generally pull just one Krayt at a time. Usually found at the Krayt Graveyard, they spawn rapidly enough for several groups to have enough for them selves.
Giant Canyon Krayts spawn by them selves and can be found at the Krayt Graveyard has well has random spawns around Tatooine.
Grand and Adolescent Krayts spawn at a static site about 1000ms north of the Krayt Graveyard POI, these do not drop loot.
Ancients are more rare, while spawning by them selves, these guys are tough. You will need a full group and sometimes even some Jedi to take them out.
Different Loot’s from Krayts
Krayt Pearls - Used in crafting JedI Light saber’s. These arequiet a nice treat. Depending on the quality of the Pearl ( Have a Jedi check it) they can sell for up to 7 million or more credits. (Currently bugged, Krayts are not dropping any pearls higher then “Good” quality, which sells for around 300k)
Krayt Tissue - Used in enhancing weapons during crafting. These babies can come in stacks up to 12. With a Base damage increase of 55 and up to 350 damage increase they also reduce speed. They always sell nicely.
Advanced Assault Cores - Used in crafting assault Armour. They generally come with about 6.2k Kinetic protection. The higher the protection the more they are worth. While not generally worth much, now and then you come across a real winner.
Krayt Dragon Scale - Used in enhancing battle armour during crafting. They add a health bonus to armour peace’s. As low has +5 health toas highas +20 and maybe more. These come in up to stacks of 12 and can sell very well depending on stack size and health bonus.
Sea’s - Very rarely you will even loot a SEA off these creatures. Generally around +16 or so, don’t count on this happening very often.
As with all loot hunting, time and kills are what makes you succesful. You can not expect to go out and kill 1 or 10 krayts and get the best loot possible. Aftter hundred's of kills might you finally get something worth has much has you are hoping, or it might be the first Krayt you loot. That's the why random loot works.
At the moment Juveniles, Canyon’s, Giant Canyon’s, and Ancients seem to have the same loot table’s has each other. So if you want to stick with just killing Juveniles and Canyon’s, not only will you be able to get the same loot has killing the harder Krayts, you should get more due to you killing them quicker.
Good luck to everyone out there with you Krayt Hunting tonight.
Any correction’s or help you have post it here and I will update when I can.
If your looking for ways to kill Krayts, head over to the Game Guide Forum, where they can help you in all your tactic needs.
Most of the levels were done by memory, so I got them wrong, let me know.

Me and a friend killed about 20 krayts the past 2 days, looted a pearl every 3 dragons, and some tissue and scales every 2 dragons.
adolescants are cl 82 btw, and all krayts ham range between 30k-39k, havent seen any 40ks.
all krayts can be killed solo (with the right tactics and a good weapon) but generaly groups are better for Giants+
Also i think scales come in stacks of upto 13, and never looted a stack of tissues higher than 6 (this is now the max needed for any weapon [T21] )
I looted last week a CA wound healing dancing 17 , ranged defence 16 .
Ive also been part of a group that looted a plasma thrower but it wasnt very good
