A group of friends, who I group with regularly, decided to go pound on one of these Krayt Dragon Ancients. First these things are massive. At least 5 times bigger then anything else in this game. Second there were tons. I saw 10 of them on my tracking radar. Excitement welled up and we grabbed one and started too work.

I have fought many things in this game. But this had to be the longest battle ever even with my well experianced group. We started at about 2:30AM and finally killed the sucker at 3:19AM. Almost an hour of the samething. Oh and the assist aggro range on this thing must be huge. Not even close to other Ancients and we got aggro from another one. One of the group pulled that one far far away on a different track then burst ran and peaced it out. But it didnt come back to its original spawn. It made a bee line straight back to the one were fighting. (No DoTs on the second one either)

After the fight what was the reward for me? 2777 weapons xp and 566 units of craptastic bone. Something that big and powerful yet I would have gotten far more xp and the same resource from a canyon krayt? One guy did loot a pearl but even that didnt make all that work worth it.

Honestly I think Krayt Dragon Ancients should be kept rare as before and make the others more prevelant.

tissue quality is random, however, giant krayts always drop premium pearls when tehy drop pearls adn ancients alway drop flawless when they drop pearls just as councilwomen and elders always drop premium crystals.
