I am tring to obtain some Blacksun Helmets and am wondering how I obtain them? Also where to be and what level the enemy must be or is it all random?

as far as i know it should be Teir 4 Aces though on the scyla server I haven't found any, and I've been to nearly everysingle POI, hyper point etc, and only seen the BS ace teir 5 (doesn't even give the helmet) on kessel till the other week where the spawn spot was changed to corsir's, or in the Endor system near the Death Watch spawn of Teir 4 Spawns but no aces

This has been posted a lot, they SEEM to drop Very Very Very rarely from Tier 4 Black Sun Fighters, Bombers, Agressors.. I dont know if anyone gets them from the Deathbringer that comes from the Tier 4 Naboo RSF Privateer missions. Ive grinded over 5million worth of Pilot exp... well 3mill xp for master and 2mill of prestige. Ive done the static for hours on endor, and both of the Privateer missions in tier 4. the trainer in the MO on Dant and the trainer in the back of the palace in theed give the BS as missions... No Helmet. Those Who have gotten them posted some screens.. Were they grouped? Did it say "Yove looted an Item : Black Sun Ace Helm?" I dont know, most pll I see got them say they didnt know they had it untill they checked how full their inv was... They need to post the conditions to, I cannot formulate any rhyme or reason to this loot drop has anyone?????

Don't have to be Aces. The tier 4 endor spawns DO drop them. When I first found the spawn, I got a helmet to drop within 15 kills!!! 'Course I haven't seen another one since...

you lucky *FCC Censored* 15!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THats insane... Grrrrr Whats 5million divided by the xp they give... Still none... Ive tried it all, carried two rare artifacts, rubbed a jedis belly prayed to odin and all other gods... 5mill/4000 even is over 1200 of them 15.... grrrrrrrr

After over a week of doing nothing but visiting static spawns in Endor and Kessel, as well as running many many duty missions for both the person in the Mining Outpost on Dantooine, and the guy in the Theed Palace (both of which offer tier 4+ duty missions) I finally looted my first on this afternoon.
I had just finished a BS duty mission in endor for the guy in Theed, with no result, so I figured I'd go hit the static spawn near Red Sin Chimaera since I was nearby. The very first tier 4 BS at the static spawn dropped the helmet. I recieved a message saying "You have looted an item: Black Sun Pilot Ace Helmet".
Overall I'd say that I killed over 800 BS fighters of tier 4 and 5 before I got the drop.
I am glad I persevered however, it looks fantastic, at least in comparison to the 'no-neck' look of the privateer ace helmet.

congrats, i have grinded at least 2.5mil xp by killing black sun tier 4 fighters and have had 0 luck. Though I did get a very nice shield generator and reactor

I just looted my first earlier today. Took roughly 8-10 duty missions. If each of those has (very roughly) 75 ships each, then that means I killed around 600-750 before finding one.
Wasn't that bad, though.. plenty of interesting space loot came up in the hunt.

did you get the duty mission from a space station or a rebel pilot trainer?
imps should get the same duty missions, not fair wahhh lol

Rare isn't the word for it.
12 Million prestige worth of Black Sun kills later, and I have seen not one helmet. I have been to Kessel, Dantooine, andEndor. I have killed Black sun spawns tiers 3 through 5 for hours on end. I have taken and completed over a dozen destroy the Black Sun duty missions. I have killed fighters, and Black Sun Gunboats. Hen's teeth are a common loot next to this. This is the sort of drop that either happens for you or it doesn't. If I bumble across one, great, but I am done actively looking.

It was a tier 4 duty mission. I got it from the RSF privateer trainer in the royal palace in Theed.
The RSF are supposed to be allied with the Empire, wonder if you can take these missions as an imperial.

gonna try it since bria's back up and we got rolledback, would have sucked if i got a helmet before the crash
