When have IDs ever been healers? I mean other than healing the pain of a bad hair day...

Im talking about entertainer classes as a unit. We are lumped in with them so therefore we dont see content.

It doesn't say Entertainers cant heal....Last I heard BF was still apart of the game...and still a required need to keep it low so it doesn't effect your healing/fighting.
I'm keeping my template I have to much fun just playing music, dancing, and making people short, fat, and pink. ![]()

MyT_Chicken? Did you even look at the diagram?... Entertainers were completely left out as a healing subclass. If we have a role in healing would you not think we should be on the diagram?

The diagram was about roles during combat, entertainers don't heal during combat.

Dancers/musicians will still be healing. BF is still going to be a part of the game. The above poster is correct, the diagram was based on players involved in actual combat. Entertainers don't do combat healing.
As for IDs not being included in the CU... well, unless Kwee's April Fool's Day joke from last year is going to come true, we don't really have a place in the CU, do we?

Mmmm. "Okay, whiny Rebel punk! I'm going to give you a bad hair day like you've never imagined!" (April Fool's Day is soon.
)
As for healing, I would hate healing. Peh. If I wanted to heal, I'd be a healer already.

Hey ID's. Tell me what you think of this idea I sent to the devs. I'm not an ID, but I'm trying to help everyone out. My ideas would boost you profs big time IMO. Forgive me for calling ID a weak prof, but seriously, how often do people want their hair changed
:
"The only way I see this CU working is if we no longer surrender xp along with surrendering skills for Combat professions only. This proposal excludes all Jedi FS XP and Combat profs that require you to master a prof to master that prof (Commando, Ranger, and BH). This surrendering of xp is not right. I would quite my job and play this game 24/7 if we didn't have to surrender xp. I say, once you achieve xp for a skill and learn it, the xp is locked, not transferable, on that skill forever. I'm TKM / Master Pistoleer / Smuggler 0420 and I don't plan on changing ever. Why? Because it takes too long to master another profession just to find out I may not like it, so I end up "re"-mastering my previous profession. That's the nightmare I have when I think about changing profs, so I won't do it. I still remember training a guy and he told me this is his 4th time Mastering TKM. It brings my blood to a boil that we have to do such things.
Benefits: 1) We get variety! I'm not a meat and potatoes type of guy. I like change. If we did this, we wouldn't need these upgrades every 6 months. 2) SOE wants us to group together, this will help. Our biggest problem when trying to take down a base or uber creature is not the amount of people, but making sure you have the "right" people. If we can change profs, we can group just like SOE wants us to do, and do it much easier...
Downfalls: None.
Why not Commando, Ranger, and BH: These are highly specialized fields that these people like to feel they are in a class by themselves. Personally, I believe only BH belongs in the exclusion due to some exploiting possibilities. Commando and Ranger are debatable. Another debate would be Master Smuggler. This could hurt the slicing community, so Smuggler would probably have to be excluded as well.
How to make this work: If we can change at the spare of the moment, it would make fighting completely unfair. Therefore, why don't we give back to the Image Designers. This CU's goal is to balance things out. Image Designers have already been one of the weakest profs and now we are taking more away from them. Well, we can give something back. If one wants to change their template, it can only be done in an Image Designer hut by an Image Designer. This is called balancing.
Why not non-Combat profs: Pretty obvious, it will destroy the economy.
Should this include Jedi skill points: You bet! I'm not a Jedi, but I know what it takes to be a Jedi and it is horrible to ask them to surrender their experience points along with the skill point. However, I would be ok with it if Jedi were excluded just because I want what is best for the greatest good.
And just to reiterate, make the game fun, unique, and not monotonous. These are the 3 keys to a successful game, and the opposite is the reasons why people quite games. This suggestion would be a jump ahead of all other games and we'll never get tired of doing the same thing over and over again.
Thank you for listening."

You know what I find odd? The fact that I write a semi-negative post about the game and people comment on it. When I write up a new idea submission such as this one,
http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=image_designer&message.id=31448
that would possibly be a great discussion/brainstorm, no one cares to build upon it. Priceless, simply priceless...

Well the same thing happened to my idea. Then people kept complaining about the CU taking content away from us, giving nothing back. Those who did reply either here, in the core systems forum or LeBob on the ent boards all seemed to like the idea. Now when I see people complain about the stat migrations going I just post a link to the thread I made and ask them to say what they think, nobody has yet
