Does anyone know if there are any plans in the works to give player cities salons? It would be so nice.

Many of us don't want to be members of player cities either... I'd rather see a craftable ID terminal that we can place in ANY player owned structure, guild hall, or town hall. And a droid module as well for those who want to travel to work on their customers. This is a much better alternative than player city salons IMO.
But, as was said, with stat migrations going away, there may not even be a need for this anyway. We'll see if there is anything in the works that would still require something like this.

There won't be a need for a terminal either, once the stat migration is gone. So I don't see that feature coming that soon. But maybe we can convince the devs, that it won't be harmfull to allow for a player placeable ID-salon or Tent. We will see what the future brings here.

I hope any role ID has with cybernetics does not tie us back down the ID terminals.
If we could just place our Salons on the plantary maps it would be great, and because it does no good for a customer to go to them when we are /logout there need to be a way to tell when we are there.

Since Ani is master Merchant and I had been useing a Tent for storage, I went ahead and did a makeover on the Tent.
Luc'ina now has her own minisalon right next to the museum, near my workshop.
Not big or flashy but it is her own little corner of design.

Player City Salons would not only be a great idea, but a FAIR implementation, considering both Master Danders and Master Musicians can place a cantina. We are entertainers to, we should be granted the ability to place a cantina or a salon...

Idid this too :] at first i opened my salon in a small tatooine house just outside of mos eilsey. Then after a while i became involved in a new role playing city on Talus. The local mayor invited me to open my salon their and now i have taken up harf of the back room in the towns mall :]
They put a wall in for me with space in it for a fish tank. With a little imagination and a lot of help from my friends i ve transformed it into something a bit special. Theirs big hair dryers that u can sit under and magazines (data pads) on the tables for the customers to read while they wait. i have lots more ideas and im sure the salons never going to be finished :]
i recomend this idea to any id'er now that we will soon no longer have to be tied to the npc salons.
Keep up the good work.

Actually this would be the one profession that could actually work for the current Player Theaters since the only area that works is backstage. Wouldn't it make sense to do makeup backstage at a theater?

Here is an idea I just had........
First I'll say whatI see asthe problems with the current NPC tents and an PC salon. With NPC Salon tents you can't show off your skills by decorating the place, and with PC salons the problem is that you can't be there 24/7 like a merchant can.
How about an ID mall in NPC towns, when customers walk into the mall they see6 or 8garage type doors. If no ID is working they are all closed andeach one open an IDer working and it shows their ID space. Behind the door are interchangable rooms that an IDer can rent and decorate it ashe/she wishes. When an IDers wants to open for bussiness he/she just select a closed door and it open to show his room.
IhopeI madethis is clear enough
