There's a similar thread on page two of this forum. Can someone make a clicky for me?

People underestimate this profession. It's one of the most fun and least consuming professions in the game in my opinion. The catch is that you HAVE to be good at it to get anywhere. If you're not, people will know.
My two hard and fast rules: Never trust an ugly ID or a poorly dressed tailor.

I play ID simply because I find it very enjoyable and love being able to change my appearence whenever I like. The SP cost is no issue for me nor is the relatively low cash flow, although it's not as bad as most people think.
It fits even better into my template now that I've decided to have pilot as my only combat class, now I have a social (ID), crafting (shipwright/merchant) and combat (pilot) I've only just started actually playing JTL mind you. Since playing the CU beta and hating it, it was the only thing that could keep me in the game cause ID alone wasn't enough.

Because I like to. It rounds out my full ent template.
Besides, most all of my friends, men and women, like to have the hair color or tattoos or hair-style done. Made 30K 2 nights ago, and I do not charge, for being a master and coloring hair, changing a beard, and doing the eye color. On 1 guy, if that was not obvious.
I don't even expect 10K for a stat migrate, but normally get twice that. (Think I should just macro "I don't charge, tip what you feel it is worth")
And I like the 2 aspiring IDs I know. I'd rather train them then have them pay the cost of training. Since as a whole, ents are by far the richest set of professions out there. (Sarcasm intended.)
I am actually busy enough. I rarely sit in a tent, but I normally make my guildies come to one, even though I don't need to do so. That way, I can train any newer IDs, and normally never get to leave on account of the demand. (And to all IDs, I do makeall clientsgo to any novice to get anything the novice can do, before I do anything for the client. If they don't like it, well, they get nothing at all. Might be rude, but I think it is me being kind.)
Sounds good enough a reason to me.

That's my reason...
Well, that and I get bored with my looks and am really picky about it. Honestly, this time around I'm doing it because my character is supposed to be a master of disguise....you know, for Role Play reasons.

I am happy this profession will go back to being the pure social one it used to be.
