Thread: Yet another Macro question.

Hello all,

Now, before you all get ready to flame me, I have a couple of questions. First...I *am* taking up ID because I *want* to do so. I have no holocron, I have no desire to be a Jedi. However, I am trying to fill a gap in our city and our server. There simply aren't many IDs around on Gorath. Certainly not on Lok.

I have read the posts on macros and was successful setting up one to use on myself. I am content in htting Accept for every change. It's been nice to just sit by myself and work on myself, even though the XP is higher to work on someone else.

However....there simply *aren't* anyone to work on most of the time. I'm just sitting around working on myself. (Yeah...I like to sit in a corner and play with myself). I have been using a macro on myself. I was so happy I got it to work, because I'm not all that macro savvy. I have one set up for musician also, which I've left overnight.

Again, I'm the only one around, so being an AFK musician isn't a big deal in the town. I'm pretty much the only one anyway.

I hope this background helps to let you folks know I am serious about the profesion, but I do feel that macro'ing will help both myself and my city. Constructive critisism is welcome, along with any hints or assistance with trying to set up shop. I do want my own Salon in the Lost City of Lok.

So...to my silly little question....

The ending command in my macro was for /uiactiontoolbarSlot01. (or something. I'm not at my home computer to check). It had been working until last night. It's not now. I'm getting an error. My repeating muscian macro also doesn't work. Same error.

So...are the toolbar actions not working any longer? I'd wonder if it was just me, if it hadn't worked before.

Thanks for any assistance you can give!

Personally, I avoid looping via the /ui action toolbarSlot## commands. Rather, I use /macro MACRONAME so that when I pass my macro on to someone else they don't have to worry about which slot it's in. Try it out and see if it works for you.

I'm not on my home PC to check either but the first thing I saw missing from your macro line was the ; at the end, the second thing you should do is give yourself a pause buffer before this line, which can sometimes cause others to not complete other actions before restarting the macro and then their character sits around until it reloops again. I'm not sure also but there may be a space between Slot and 00 (don't quote me on that tho. since my macro is not right in front of me.

hope that helps,

One thing that helps me with my IDmacro is another macro next to it with only 1 line...

/dump

Stops your looping macro dead in it's tracks.
