Thread: I'd like to place a Cantina now please

Hi there folks, its me again! And guess what, i want something.


Master Dancers and Master Musicians can place cantinas, so why cant Image Designers? A Master Image Designer spends 14 less skill points than the Dancer or Musician (because of the healing line in Entertainer)... so maybe thats why. But then you look at the Chef tree, a Master Chef spends the same amount of skill points that we do...... and they get to place cantinas.


Since player cities went live, ive really wanted a salon. But why a cantina now?


  • The lighting in Cantinas (excluding the corellian style interior) is pretty good for image design especially on or around the stage.

  • Image Design is the only Entertainer profession not capable of placing one (or registering on the planetary map for that matter). Of course, using this logic.. it could be argued that Architects or Weaponsmiths should be able to place cantinas as well..... /shrug

  • Many items can be used in ways that they were never intended. One only has to look at a Generic Guild Hall thats been converted into a Tailor showroom for proof of this. The player city cantina can be made to serve as a salon (some reclining chairs, a few chef items made with beauty salon product names on tables).

  • The cantina (unlike the salon) is already in the game and could very easily be used.

  • Its 6:30 in the morning and i just woke up and this was the best i could come up with

The question is - do we wanta cantina - or should we push for a simple building with private rooms and decent lighting? The reason I would vote for a different building is increased visibility for the profession when people are looking for an ID specifically.

I would also like+7 to melee defense and +7 to ranged defense, please.


But I think IDs should be able to place cantinas or some sort of salon. We are part of the entertainer tree, after all. Combat Medics get to place med centers, don't they? They may not get /register, but I'm pretty sure they get to place med centers.

I placed a Tatooine style PA hall. It works wonderfully.


Just use your imagination a bit.. I'm all for empowering IDs but is this really a huge deal to people? Wouldn't you rather have other things fixed/added?

I think something like those little tent things? but we could make them larger and have some neat things for the designs. Like we could purchase insence, It would be cool if it could like a harem ^_^ +the dancers!!
