Right now for XP, I've been doing eyeshadow changes for 50xp each time. I'm about to get novice ID and I can afford one other skill after I hit Novice. What skill would be best to get so I can design something and get more than 50 xp? Thank you for your help.

There's an faq stickied above, but basically here is what I've found - higher level changes take proportionally more mind pool. Let's say eyeshadow is 50 xp, and it takes 50 mind. Let's say another change (cheeks) is 100xp but it takes 125 mind. You see? It's more beneficial to do two lower level changes than 1 higher level changes because of the decreased mind drain.

Having said that, spice and buffs will change your regen rate, so it may be beneficial to use higher-drain higher-exp changes in that case. You can experiment with changes and find ones that drain your mind at about the rate that you regen it back.

Many image designers recommend doing the facial line first, and selecting changes from that, for grinding purposes. But if you want to be "popular" quicker, level hair styles first - they don't give you extra experience, but will bring you clientele.
