It actually took me awhile to master ID believe it or not, but I was wondering if anyone has any tips about how I would make myself known in my Galaxy.

Would I open a salon in our player city?

What are the rates?

Hair
Makeup
Body
Tattoos

Full on makeovers

I've been ID'd in the past and they have told me pay what you think I deserve, and I really didn't know what to pay so it was anywhere from 20k-30k for small details.

Hi and Wecome to our world

I work just off tipsthis weekendI ot a 75k tip for doing a ID it was "a Good Day" of curse the next guy tip 0, then a 10k tip, and then a 500 tip. the life of an IDer, you got to love it.

Would I open a salon in our player city? We are asking for a ID building with some functions that will bring customers to us, but for now your best bet is to go to a bussy NPC city like theed and put your Master ID tag on. Players will find you If it's slow go to the cantina and spam.

Thank you =)

I'm not too worried about tips, I don't think I would mind doing it for free, but to get into the entire roleplaying mode, I would like to open a salon LOL the only problems I have is -- I am using a Tatooine GH for a house, so I don't have very many lots left, should I select a room an decorate the H-word out of it?

I've been wearing my MID tag, but I haven't gone anywhere yet.

I might goto Bestine tonight to work my magic..

Welcome, and enjoy your stay—please keep all hands and arms inside the…hm wrong speech. Whoops!

I've got a salon in my player city (well, okay, I share a salon in my player city…) and to be honest, I get more ID requests when I'm trying to browse the bazaar, or waiting for the shuttle than when I'm trying to use the salon. So, really, Voor's right—just wander into an NPC city with your title on and /anon off, you'll generally get requests in no time.

As far as pricing…I kind of do it both ways. For on-the-spot requests I'm tip-based, and I average about 4K per session…sometimes a bit more, sometimes a bit less (got 100K for a session last night, got stiffed for a session before that, so who knows.) On the other hand, I also sell gift certificates on a vendor in my tailoring shop. I have 3 denominations: 2K (any hair change), 5K (any face and hair change), and 10K (any change). (In case you're wondering, the gift certs are crafted cargo pockets)

I find that in general, tipping can be more lucrative than set prices, but from what I hear that can depend on your server/planet/city…so I'd recommend trying it out and seeing what you get. Worst comes to worst you can inplement a Theed Local-like pricing structure.

Wow, you're all pretty helpful, this is so great.

I guess I will hop around Bestine or maybe the Geonosian dungeon.

You've already gotten a lot of good advice I do a pricing system, which varies between 1-4k per change with some package deals. I used to do tips but it really irks me when I get stiffed I get tipped over and above my prices often enough to keep me happy

If you click on the link to my ID guide in my signature, I have a section on advertising and opening your business there. Good luck!

Hey, Neko!

I operate a boutique near Bestine...on Bria...d'oh! J/K, there's plenty of room for all of us.

I advertise my shop as "Mighty Tays'ti, House of Style, Fashion, Furniture, Image Design." One of the clothing vendors barks an ad, "To complete your new look, e-mail Tays'ti for an image design appointment." (I do not wear the title, however.) So far I have not had any clients seek me out specifically, instead they'll stroll into the cantina where I dance, asking for an ID. Then a passer-by will notice our conversation, and ask to be next.

As far as pricing, I charge 1000 cr per accepted change, but get tipped at least double that amount. I did forget to mention my pricing up-front to one client, who stiffed me. My own fault, he claimed n00b poverty but I had already finished. Live and learn....bad karma for him, too.

See you around!
