Thread: An Image Designer's Nightmare (aka worst session thread)
That really sucks. It would be nice if you could revert the changes somehow if an agreed payment is not recieved. That would be cool. Maybe just a little wishful thinking.
Just some thoughts from a Sumggler/Image Designer

me: "i will show you some of the styles, please refuse if you don't like it."
*client accepts after 3 seconds
client: "...no,i don't like it."
with hairstyles it isn't so bad,but i had someone keep doing that on skincolor, who kept complaining it took so long to show me the next one (because i had to recover my mind pool after every "showing"...)
luckily most of my clients know how it works

Gah MU, that's my biggest pet peeve, the "you don't use resources so your time isn't worth anything to me". I'm surprised she doesn't sympathize, being a dancer. I find it so annoying not getting tipped when I'm playing an entertainer (who is dancing or playing an instrument) that I individulally tippeda huge band that was entertaining for a friend's wedding last night. It feels so good to tip entertainers, though Kwee doesn't get much opportunity never doing combat![]()

I just hate any time people think that my time isn't worth anything. A few weeks ago I was waiting at a starport and someone asked me if I could fix their hair for them. Normally I don't do image design at starports because there isn't enough time to do a good job, so I explained to him that the shuttle would land in 5 minutes so there is not much time and asked whether he knew what hairstyle he wanted. He said he wanted a ponytail, so I said OK. After all, that is a quick and easy request! I change his hair, and as I should have expected, he wanted a few other things changed.... I did what I thought was a pretty good job, espcially considering it was a rush job that I never really wanted to do in the first place. He thanked me, and as he was about to rush off I told him that since I didn't give him a price ahead of time to just tip me what he though my time was worth and what he could afford. He ran off and I took the shuttle (which had been sitting there for a few minutes). When I landed I sent him a tell with what I said about the tip since he might not have heard me (he was running off after all). About a minute later I get a response saying "here is ur tip: dont eat yellow snow lol". Some people are just jerks.....
Well just yesterday I had probably my worst expierence, and wow you guys are right the guys are way worse than the girls.
I was in a cantina and some guy ran up to me and asked if i could change their jaw. Sure NP he was looking a bit sickly pale, thin jaw no cheeks a hideous mullet, and some stubble
I added a little width to his jaw, cuz he was currently at 0, turns out his cheeks were at 0 as well so of course they needed adjustment. After that was thru he asked me if i could make his nose a little wider, ok np, I adjusted it to what I thought looked best and both partys were happy. After the full face mod, he proceeded to ask for a haircut. Like 90% of the guys he wanted the wolverine haircut, but wanted to see about 5 different ones anyway. So we get that all taken care of, next he asks if I can change his facial hair to mutten chops, eye color, and unpucker his lips..... done, done and done... Now he wants to be taller and have more muscles.... poof your wish is my command. Finally after all that he asked what he owe'd me. I don't really care about the money really, its more about respect for my investment. But anyway he said "thanks" and turned around and left ![]()
Now I thought this was going to be a horrible day for image designing but my next two customers made up for the previous expierence.
1) A human female, just wanted a tan. Simple enough a whole 3 skin tones later and she was happy
the tip? 50k woohoo
2) A male bothan, wanted some cornrolls. Poof done, tip 50k WOO twice in one day!
I keep it because I think its fun. Not because I want to be rich... but it helps
Hm. MU, I would have simply turned around and told her to go off and start buffing people for free. And told her she doesn't deserve tips for dancing, because, you know, she's not using resources dancing.
And I'm an Entertainer, myself. :-D

HAHA. I wish I had thought of that myself. Unfortunately, I'm the sort of person who thinks up witty retorts three days after something happens to me. *sigh*
Yeah, I did some work on some guy with one of those hideous LEET names like +DETHLORDXXX+ or somesuch.
After faffing around for ages with him, I finished his work (he seemed happy with it) then hung around, waiting for a "how much do I owe you?" comment. None was forthcoming, so I /told him "It's customary to tip IDers for any work they do..."
His reply?
"Nah. lol."
I waitedaround a minute or twolonger, ready to give it up as a bad job, then he decided to tip me a whopping... 538c...

Heh, when you get a bad tipper, just tell them that they're bugged, and they'll need to be killed for the changes to be complete, then /duel them, Icap them but don't deathblow them, count to 60 and heal em, icapp again, 60 heal, icap again. DB then tip them they're crappy tip back and tell em to go get healed
Yeah, and then find yourself being harassed by a CSR for player griefing. Not to mention, 3 incaps within 10 minutes is automatic death.
I wouldn't recommend this method of handling your customers, kids.

Me too, actually. ^___^; It might've hit me because I buff a lot, and because my alt is a master ID, but ah well. I'd also've been tempted to shout "(name) giving free dancer buffs!" but I'm mean like that if po'd. ^_^
