ok, short story first: guildmate of mine is a BH, he gets a mission for a knight on my server, catchs the knight alone, although buffed to the teeth, starts to attack, finnally gets him down to incapped and dbs. my guildie was alone as was the jedi knight, after the db my guildie starts to recieve hate tells. i'm jus curious why a knight would send a bh hate tells, this fight was fair (if u loosly use the word) and the jedi jus came out on the bottom. would u jedi out there send my buddy hate tells if he got ya like that?

perhaps but even when i get beat in pvp i still tell the guys good job, it is only a game, but that's jus me

let me clarify. maybe he was upset at the xp loss. you forget that although jedi are aware of xp loss, that is not equal to being glad when it happens. BHs force PvP on jedi. that is ok. that is the game, and jedi have to accept that. but should they thank the BH for that?
if i am killed by a BH. i wont send him a hate tell. but i wont send a 'well done' tell either. i hate PvP.mainly because many PvPers exploit and many unbalancing things(2400 max damage unsliced no Pup t-21with a crazy dot to bootfor example) exist in the game. if a BH comes for me so be it. i even afk in dantooine MO. the xp loss is irrelevant to me, what is 1 more buff in a template that takes 75 buffs to get.
that said, some people disagree. some do not like having people attack them when they are trying to do something. honestly, i feel i would be more annoyed having a BH attack me when i was trying to PvE then having some one send me a hate tell.
CONCLUSION:
players that do not want to be hunted by BHs: either dont play a jedi or, if you do, dont hunt NPCs, dont show off. BH visits will be quite rare for most who do this.
players that get their feelings hurt by hate tells, dont play as a BH, or, if you do, hunt npc marks.

Let me share an experience I had from earlier tonight. I was in MOP gettingmy buffs coveredbecause my city mates and guildmates were not on to buff me so I couldn't get it done in teh safety of my city. 3 BHs got me by suprise. I punched force run and before I could get mind heal 2 off they had mind incapped me and dbed me. I had one of the buffers rez me and after my grogginess went away I told them "You guys got me good. Suprised the hell out of me. GJ" The MBH that was leading them sent me a tell 2 hours prior trying to act like a newb interested in jedi but I guess took him a while to find me. I figured he was a BH after me but he took so long I figured he gave up. I just figure if I get my butt whooped I need to train my pvp and get faster or grind more to get my template higher. If I get ganked than I wasn't paying well enough attention. The current system keeps me on my toes. That JK was just a whiner. /clap your BH friend for pwning a whiney JK. He needed it

If he is a Knight, he isn't worried about the xp loss unless he's still trying to finish his template or is trying to change it.
You say your friend is a Bh that took down a Knight alone. It can be done by a MBH using ranged weapons, but is normally done by a melee defense stacker with invest 3 using the warcry bug.
If your friend is a MBH that took the Knight down with ranged weapons, tricks like the bots, then good for him. But on the other hand if he's one of the invest 3 TKM BH's using the bugged warcry...well, while I don't agree with the Knight's actions, I don't blame him.

OK, dumb question. I am the king of acronyms! I have forgotten more then most will ever know, being in the Navy and working for a major Communications company. ADSL, ISDN, POTS, SW, EOD. But dammit, it is driving me nuts! What the hell does "pwning" mean? please help, on the edge here. Been staring at it so long and cannot figure it out, I can no longer sit here and anonomity and let you all think I know what it means, If it is a term to be laughed at, I need to know. Thanks you for educationg this dummy.

What the hell does "pwning" mean?
It'smick take of L33T H4X0Rs speak pwning from owning and ownadge meaning to completely smash someone/thing in a fight, mainly used in a humerous way, though there are exceptions......

Depends on the player some nice players some not nice players. You will no doubt meet both kinds while you are playing. It can also be very frustrating when you are trying to get something done in game and BH's keep pestering you, your friend probably wasn't the first BH of the day and the jedi was probably a little pissed.

yes bh send hate tells... i get them all the time. most of them say "nice exploited LS" -- it is utter crap.
